Austin v Kramaric ?

I'm still to be convinced about Okazaki. Against Sunderland he was electric. Contested everything, stole possession on countless occasions, moved the ball around, had shots, asked questions, almost the full package.

Against Spurs the game went over and around him. He looked about as threatening as a cardboard policeman. Yes, he too was a victim of our tactics cos he and Vardy would have got more backing from a sheet of brown paper.

But there's the conundrum. Do we play the people we've got in a system that largely negates their talents - with Schlupp, Vardy, Okazaki and Drinkwater affected at the very least on Saturday.

Or do we sign a proven scorer and use him, with others, to the best advantage and try to win matches by scoring goals rather than (theoretically) not conceding them?

Whatever we choose I'd welcome a provenly reliable striker - because I'm sure we'll need one.

Let's put in another bid for Austin and maybe .... Maybe .... Sell Kramaric to get a bit of the money back.

Nows a good time to get him whilst we are flying high and are an inform team, the iron could not be hotter !

Would we have a future England forward line ?? And think of all the combinations with our other 2 strikers ... That would really make a statement !

No Way!

I used to have an Austin - kept breaking down....

NO!!

Spot on.

:chant: Kramaric just needs game time. He is quality, younger than Austin and not crocked.  To sell Kramaric and buy Austin will indeed send out a statement - LCFC are grade 'A' muppets.  Sorry, IMHO this would be bad business.

The two scenario's you give aren't really comparable. Misuse existing players, or use a new player correctly. What's to say we wouldn't misuse a new player? Austin would hardly have had a sniff on Saturday either.

Maybe we should be focusing on using the existing players correctly.

Kramaric will probably never get a proper chance here which is unfortunate because I reckon he can be a good player in the future - although not as brilliant as most on here seem to think.

Hasn't Austin got a long running injury problem

No one wants to pay the asking price, because he's overpriced and a risky proposition

The man who bought Andy Carroll for £18m and put him on close to £100k a week says it's too risky, that's good enough for me..

Kramaric will get lots of opportunities to play. CR will not stick with the same line-up on a constant basis. Krams just has to shine when the chance comes.

I'm not sure what the situation is with Austin though, I thought he was good value at 15 but the league doesn't seem to think the same.

The problem Kramaric has got in reality is Ulloa.  If Leicester change anything up top in a game, its nearly always going to be Ulloa for the height and his different style of play.  More often than not thats going to be the first striker change if any as it shakes things up a bit.  Kram is just 3rd choice in a group of Vardy, Okazaki and Kramaric whereby its almost a waste of a sub to bring Kram on for one of Vardy or Okazaki because the styles are so similar.  Krams only hope really of first team football here is either from an injury or suspension to one of the main two, or a drop in form from either of them.

Exactly so with Austin we would have 2 big lads and 2 small ones which would keep the pot boiling for places .... Good idea to then put Kramo out on loan to see what he can really do ..... Austin may have a shorter shelf life but he can score goals right now and considering the vast amount of dosh that's at stake in staying in the prem I think it would be good business

Agree entirely. I just felt that, with the spoiling system we used on Saturday, we might have benefitted from having a specialist marksman with Vardy rather than the attacking midfield player Okasaki seems to be, especially in the heat and with Okasaki being such a busy player even under pressure.

See this is the only problem with the internet.

It gives people a platform to voice their opinions, in which they shouldn't be allowed.

Tbh actually I sort of retract my previous point, we forget kramaric can play striker, behind the striker(s) and on the wing, he might be important later on in the season, it might not be a matter of kramaric vs Austin, perhaps both could co-exist

Maybe Kramaric is more in the Mahrez mould ? ... But either way I'd still go for Austin .... If he was crocked after 1 or 2 seasons but helped keep us in the Prem that's good business .... If he hit it off with Vardy then Roy might have a punt on them both .... Who knows

I think Kramaric's problem that he's not as mobile and not as hard working (yet)

We've hardly seen the guy.

How many games/seasons did Vardy have the chance to shine? A hell of a lot of patience was shown (and thankfully). I just don't think he's had enough game time for any of us to criticize him. I guess we can speculate but I don't think we should be jumping to any conclusions or judging him just yet.

Obviously CR see's him in training  - so if he isn't being picked or going to get picked then we can only assume it's down to his performances whilst training - or that he just doesn't fit the system so well currently.

From the games that I've seen he's got great technical ability but he physically he doesn't offer a lot, our forward play is almost based on physicality, the stamina and speed of Shinji and Vardy is what makes the dangerous.

Kramaric will fit in just fine alongside Vardy or Shinji. It only takes one of them to get a knock and he is in.

Hope you're right but I can't see him banging in the goals .... I know we haven't seen much of him but what I have seen hasn't filled me with confidence ... Seen Inler and Kante for 5 minutes and know we have 2 great players ...

Its easy....Both Ulloa and Kramaric STAY.!!

, and No loan deals, both will be playing 1st team football quicker than some fans think.

Front 4 will get knocks, and maybe rested as the season develops.

Even if the front 4 are 1st choice for some time, we need a top Subs bench.

FFS this is the big league now, why throw good players away We need these 2 in the top 15,

or top 6 of an attacking force.

We couldnt promise that Austin would automatically be no1 on the teamsheet, but if he came..Brilliant

but he must want to...

Think about it..PL with no guarrantee, or stay at QPR with 1st team football, Austin is waiting to see how the positive-slide-rule

works for him. He stays ,gambles on promotion, he returns to the PL, with no worse club, than from where offers are coming.

Carry on scoring goals, a topclass club from PL or Europe will come knocking.

IMO.. Top 6 club comes before T-deadline he goes, any other fish below, he wont bite.Nor should he, unless guarrantees are

on the table..

What would any of you do..????
