Jimothy Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Not sure why 19 http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/pictures/19-greatest-Leicester-City-players/pictures-27680748-detail/pictures.html#1 Because we haven't had 20 great players?
Voll Blau Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 God I hate the clickbait age. It's like the people who dreamt it up had never heard of round numbers...
Sampson Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Heskey shouldn't be in there ahead of Alan Smith. I know he gave money to the club etc. and a lot of younger fans remember him well, but Smith was a much better player in a worse side - the season we stayed up in 85-86 is the closest I've ever seen a Leicester side to being a one-man team with Smith in the side.
ARM1968 Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Tommy English was a legend. That goal at the kop end vs Man City.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 Iv's seen 14 of them, and can't really argue with those names, but Len Glover, and Mike Stringfellow are pretty are bloody close, so that's my 21!
foxychik Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 On the left is Ian king showing the many faces of kingy is not a new thing .....
Freesolo Posted 26 August 2015 Posted 26 August 2015 They had to mix a few players from different era's or there would be no players from recent years, no Gary Mcallister?
Jimothy Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 No Alan Woolett/Junior Lewis or Denis Wise? Or Josh Low.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 God I hate the clickbait age. It's like the people who dreamt it up had never heard of round numbers... "I couldn't believe these 13 reasons why Voll hates clickbait articles. Number 8 will blow your mind."
Steve Earle Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Nice to think that '19' was in homage to Cambiasso. I started watching in 65-66 so there are a few from before my time, but all the greats I've seen are there except two: Whitworth & Nish, who still feature in my all time XI. Love Bruno as I did, I can't see why he makes that list at all?
VinceNoir Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 For anyone who can't be arsed to scroll through the gallery. Arthur Rowley Gordon Banks Davie Gibson Matt Elliott Graham Cross Emile Heskey Muzzy Izzet Johnny Duncan Neil Lennon Gary Lineker Septimus Smith Peter Shilton Steve Walsh Keith Weller Frank Worthington Esteban Cambiasso Adam Black Hughie Adcock Arthur Chandler
Freesolo Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Too young to have ever watch him play but Frank Worthington seems like a George Best type type character. Only time I ever seen him was when he came on at half time in 97 vs Bolton, Played for both clubs if I'm not mistaken. The Kop started singing a Song, it must of been his song when he played for us went something like this Franky Wortho! Franky Wortho!Ohhhhhhhhhh! Ohhhhhhhhhhh!(Repeat)
melrose Posted 27 August 2015 Posted 27 August 2015 Tommy English was a legend. That goal at the kop end vs Man City. What about his long awaited debut goal at Loftus Rd on the astro turf? Lineker lifting it over the keeper only to wait on the goal line for Tom to turn up & poke it over the line! Cue mad delirious goal celebrations on & off the pitch!

Love Bruno as I did, I can't see why he makes that list at all? He gave money to the club and is a Leicester fan tbf so people remember him more fondly, but there's quite a few players who belong there ahead of him - Alan Smith, Lenny Glover, Frank McLintock and Ken Keyworth to name a few.
