Sir Shep Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Is it just 17? Still at least with Banks, Shilts and Lineker we at least have 3 of the most famous!
Webbo Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Weller Worthington Whitworth Guppy Heskey Vardy Plus those already mentioned. Did Don Revie ever play for England?

kushiro Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 They were the 11 I got. Had to cheat for the rest. Any excuse to remember Cunningham is welcome, though.

Fox92 Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 So proud we gave the Country Shilton and Lineker and, although not from Leicester, Banks who was representing the club in 66.
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 oh sh*it my bad I read that as "I shit my bed", made sense with your username
Buzzell Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Martin Keown? Edit: Checked out the list. Shit guess
Sampson Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I was always surprised Alan Smith never got a call-up while at Leicester. He was one of the top strikers in the country and it took til his move to Arsenal to he got called up, which shows how much it matters what team you play for. But his last couple of seasons after Lineker left was the closest to being a one-man team as I have ever seen Leicester. We were basically a lower-half struggling Second Division side without him, as was shown when he left.
Brenfox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 That's quite a low number of caps. I'm very surprised.
kushiro Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 That's quite a low number of caps. I'm very surprised. I thought that, too. Just had a look at the figures for Derby and Forest. 39 and 37.
Sampson Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Our top ever scorer at international level has just 4 goals (which is Harry Panayiotou of all people!) and our most capped player has just 39 caps. We've not been sparkling regarding internationals over the years.
Guest Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 Got the 11 I saw play - added a couple of others who must've played for England when not under contract with us.
Mint23 Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I only got 9 but couldn't believe Smith or Nish didn't get capped with us
stockyfox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 David Nish was awarded ten England Under 23 caps whilst with City.........but I suppose that doesn't count. After all, they are not 'real' caps are they?
fuchsntf Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 I believe the criteria is caps gained whilst under contract at lcfc. I believe you missed Sep Smith..he played for England in 1935, Against Ireland, only once while at Leicester, in fact he was a one club player.Whether caps were issued then I dont really know, but He next to liddle was my dads fav.leicester player.

The list of players was compiled by the Merc and is in the spoiler in the OP. That post you've quoted is not any list I've posted I was just pointing out the criteria.

Smiithy Fox Posted 5 September 2015 Posted 5 September 2015 What about Nugent & Konchesky.. Not that they were the greatest England players. Just seen the criteria.
