what? Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Dwight Tiendalli is training with Leicester City in the hope of earning a contract with the Foxes, HITC Sport understands from sources close to a potential deal. The 29-year-old defender is currently available as a free agent after negotiating the cancellation of his contract at Swansea City. That agreement was reached at the start of September, and Tiendalli is understandably keen to find himself a new club as soon as possible. He has spent the last three seasons in British football, having been acquired by Swansea from FC Twente in 2012. Tiendalli made 40 appearances across his first two seasons in South Wales, earning senior international recognition with Holland in the process, but slipped out of favour last term. A loan switch to Middlesbrough in March took him through to the end of the campaign, but he is now looking to take on another new challenge. With the transfer window closed, Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri will have to dip into the free agent pool if he is to bolster his options, and Tiendalli is hoping that he can catch the Italian coach’s eye. Would Tiendalli be a useful addition for Leicester? link
KFS Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Suggested him before the transfer window closed. Played very well in the Eredevise but never really took off at Swansea. Got to be a better option than Simpson.
Jimothy Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Decent right back, but I'd still think he'd be behind De Laet in the pecking order. Might mean Simpson is finally on the way?
jkFoxes23 Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 he only made 2 appearances with Middlesbrough and after not getting a look in. If he is fit and competitive could be a good squad player. not close to first team. I would say no, unless Dyer has had a word.
Hack Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 better than Simmo and not a scum Pace and crossing from right back
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 HITC? Their 'source' is probably the match thread where someone confirmed he was the unnamed trialist.
filbertstreet Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 who's been nicking all the swansea players then
iamafox Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 He's worth a punt, can't see him in the first team straight away though.
Wymsey Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Seems to have a bit of pace in him, but can be sloppy on the ball. Can see Simpson going to Derby/Middlesbrough.
stox259 Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Always worried about someone who's had their contract terminated by another prem club. There must a reason this happened. Can't think of many 'contract terminated players' that have gone on to bigger and better things.

MC Prussian Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Was rubbish at Middlesbrough. He was good at Swansea, so it's Even Steven.

Minus the cunt1shness presumably. DeLaet looking fairly exposed early on this season much like last so wouldn't mind seeing what he's got anyway.

Not sure it helps all that much.

stox259 Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Albrighton? Came to the end of his contract rather than being paid by the club to leave as far as I know. Even a player like Simpson has not been paid to leave by Leicester. How good can a player be if a club has actually paid them to leave?
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 Swansea fans and their coaches think he's terrible. I know first hand. Don't want him near us.

Guest Posted 9 September 2015 Posted 9 September 2015 He's on trial. Maybe the City staff can make up their own minds.
