Stevosevic Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 Don't know if anyone else saw Jamie Vardy interview in his house on Premier League world. Anyway, he comes across as very honest and humble, and focused and he's loving playing for Leicester. He is going nowhere, unless our owners decide to accept a ludicrously high offer. Whether Vardy leaves will come down to our owners, he is loving it here and that really comes across in the premier league world interview in a very endearing manner. He doesn't speak like a robot/fake liar like Delph and Sterling did at Villa and Liverpool respectively before their moves. I wonder if there is anywhere to watch this online?
maddog Posted 3 December 2015 Posted 3 December 2015 I wonder if there is anywhere to watch this online?Must be, I watched it on BT sport was it Tuesday or Wednesday about 6.30pm. Manish was interviewing him and his fiance, lasted 10/15 minutes. I think its broadcast worldwide so must be somewhere on the interweb.
foxes161 Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 After the season he's having he will want at least 100,000 a week i imagine.
Buzzell Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 He's not going anywhere according to my very reliable source.

ScouseFox Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Yet he comes across as fiercely proud of his roots – “That’s made me the person I am” – and says that the former Fleetwood team-mate who described him as someone “who doesn’t care whether he’s on two grand or two quid” was spot on. “That’s true,” Vardy adds. “My life has changed, of course, but I’m not money-motivated at all; that’s the last thing on my mind. I just want to play football and that’s how I’ve always been. And, to be honest with you, I think that shows in my performances, that I’m in a happy place, knowing that I’m doing the job that I love.” http://www.theguardian.com/football/2015/dec/04/jamie-vardy-leicester-city-interview?CMP=share_btn_tw

Len Finsbury Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 We wouldn't even have this thread if Vardy wasn't ripping the Pl apart, so talking about contract renewals and how much he'd need to earn to live comfortably for the rest of his life brings forward this question... what would he have done if he hadn't suddenly become the Pl top scorer and remained the player he was last season? I'm sure he'd have had a plan in mind, especially seeing as he's at the latter part of his career.
EverybodyDannsNow Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Them quotes from the Guardian confirm what I was already pretty sure of, Vardy is going no where. He's happy here, he's settled, he's got a team who play to his strengths and he wants to play football every week. Job done.
blue army 1988 Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Vardy wants to play first team football every week. If he moves to a so called bigger club then he won't. He will stay at Leicester as he knows about the owners and where they want to take the club. With his reputation here and how much Claudio seems to love him he'll be first name on the team sheet every week. So why would he want to move clubs?
ajthefox Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 Guardian article's a great little read. It's easy for a footballer to say this and that about how it's not about the money etc etc but the article does really seem to enforce that he's a down to earth bloke.
deep blue Posted 4 December 2015 Posted 4 December 2015 They're a step up, they'll always be a top 6 challenging top 4 club and have a very good chance of getting the 4th spot up for grabs. That's a ridiculous statement. No club is guaranteed a top position for ever and a day. Look at Chelsea now, or teams like Leeds who, at times in the past, looked invincible. Clubs will maintain a "big" club reputation for only as long as other fans keep subscribing to it and mindlessly parroting it.Better to have more faith in your own team and believe that Leicester can elevate itself into a club that can maintain a consistent high position in the Prem, and progress further from there.
