davieG Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Ashley Williams & Riyad Mahrez: Clubs asked to explain clash Swansea and Leicester have been asked by the Football Association to provide details about a tunnel clash between Ashley Williams and Riyad Mahrez on Saturday. Swans skipper Williams, 31, and Foxes winger Mahrez had to be separated outside the home dressing room after Leicester's win at the Liberty Stadium. Williams then attempted to follow Mahrez, 24, on to Leicester's team bus. After the game, Swansea boss Garry Monk said he was unaware of the incident. The players came together during the first half of Saturday's match when Williams attempted to wrest the ball from Mahrez to take a free-kick. Referee Michael Oliver spoke to both men, but did not show either a yellow card. Mahrez had already scored twice - and he completed his hat-trick in the second half as a 3-0 win sent Leicester two points clear at the top of the Premier League. After the players clashed again following the final whistle, Williams brushed past reporters in search of the Leicester bus, but soon returned inside the stadium.
filbertway Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Williams was being really weird and looking away while the ref was talking to them, looked like a right mardbox.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 He's obviously hurting and acting like a right nob head. The club's will see sense, close ranks and say it's a non story! Rightly so just move on to winning the next game!
Vlad the Fox Posted 8 December 2015 Posted 8 December 2015 Twat was playing at being the hard man knowing he would never get on the coach. If he really wanted to confront him why didn't he try and get in the changing room
MrSpaM Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I cannot begin to fathom why somebody walking off the pitch with the match ball would bother going straight to the oppositions changing room at the end of the game just to cause **** If you'd just scored a hat trick and completely bossed a game, the first thing going through your head wouldn't be 'that Ashley Williams is a right ***! I'm gonna have him!'
CloudFox Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 I cannot begin to fathom why somebody walking off the pitch with the match ball would bother going straight to the oppositions changing room at the end of the game just to cause **** If you'd just scored a hat trick and completely bossed a game, the first thing going through your head wouldn't be 'that Ashley Williams is a right ***! I'm gonna have him!' Poor timing if this is what happened, but I can only guess he wanted to get the match ball signed by everyone before they left. Can't think of any other time they could sign it for him after all... ....although they did have plenty of time whilst picking the ball out of the back of the net!
Clever Fox Posted 9 December 2015 Posted 9 December 2015 Didn't Britton also try to do Mahrez with a late and high tackle into the back of the Legs. I hate players like that.
fuchsntf Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 On a sky ticker this evening...FA have taken interest on the alleged disturbance between the two... mmm!!! ??
Vlad the Fox Posted 10 December 2015 Posted 10 December 2015 Didn't central news say they were taking no action???
