Sure Hull were out of Europe very very early. Don't think it contributed to their relegation at all.

They were, they just weren't good enough... didn't strengthen. Europe has nothing to do with it, lots of teams that are good enough manage Europe just fine.

Personally I'm glad I forgot to do William Hill's £50m jackpot guess the final table. Not going to look anything like I predicted at this rate!

i did it before i started working for them again and had us in 8th thinking i was being overconfident and cocky. even that is looking pretty underwhelming atm.

Did you put Chelsea bottom half? I think each entrant was allowed up to 250 bets, I don't think I'd have put Chelsea anywhere below 5th in any of 250 goes as it would have felt like money wasted. Would actually be astonished if they managed 5th now.

If the bottom four draw all of their games, home and away, they would all be on 8 points.

Ignore me, I'm talking b*****ks

lol I was waiting for someone to say they would be on 8 points. Glad you got there in the end

what im worried about is if we qualify for europe this year then next season we could be in trouble next season could lead to a poor season just look at hulls relegation year

Jesus Christ lol

I'm like a broken record on this but what the hell do we want? To finish as high as possible EVERY season. So we qualify for Europe, don't try, get knocked out so we can focus on the league and.... qualify for Europe.

Let me lose my reality for a second, just a brief second. If we somehow scrambled into the Champions League next season, I wouldn't care if we finished 17th and survived on the final day. We'd have had a CHAMPIONS LEAGUE campaign. Potential minumum of six games against some of the best in Europe. The pinnacle of European football, one of the most glamouous competitions in world football.

Even if we lost a qualifier finishing fourth we would still be in the Europa, another minimum of six games, the first time we've competitvely tested ourselves against a non British team in 16 years. I want that, does that now sound great to you?

We'd have a new TV deal, sponsors latching on, money coming in through every angle to strengthen. It would be the golden age of this club. If we struggled a little next season because of Europe then I really don't care. I want us to be playing and competing at the highest level we can. Let's not worry about what might be, let's do it.

Thought I was hedging by having them second in 2 of my 4. Oh well haha.

Spot on.

Think of the endless times we've said "We're not going to get (insert quality player's name) we can't offer him Champion's League like Bayern, Marseille, Sevilla, etc."

That goes out the window. We'd be as you've said in the most prestigious club competition in the world, with new lucrative sponsorship, and a whole new growing market in America to exploit. We're the fairytale club and that's known across the world, which grants some serious pulling power.

It would be easy to whimper to an eighth/ninth/tenth place finish this season but a top four finish could seriously change our standing in football for a long, long time, and there'll never be a better opportunity than now.

Below is the most concrete evidence we are safe and will not be getting relegated.

I had a £100 on us to go down at the start of the season.

Pretty much the only bet I have won this season is Vardy scoring anytime v Man Utd I am in such a rut with bets, we are staying up even if we lose every game for the rest of this season  :)

No I think they are saying we have yet to hit the magic 40 points, I don't think they are pessimistic its just an honest answer at this moment in time we are not yet safe.  But we know its a long season with plenty of more points to be gained. Ask the question again in a few weeks when we have 40 points and of course everyone will say we will not get relegated.
