coalvillefox Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Im going to get shot down for this but here goes anyway. To ease the burden on the readers of this forum it would make it easier if the details of the player who we are supposedly attempting to sign are detailed in the topic title and we all follow that format. e.g. Vincent Aboubakar, 23, Cameron, Striker, Porto Nigel de Jong, 31, Netherlands, Midfielder, AC Milan Or something similar?
dbtcity Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Or people just do what everyone else does and type said players name into google or Wikipedia of they don't no much about the player
foxoffderby Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 A bit like An idea to improve the Transfer Forum

Vlad the Fox Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 What, like.. Gabby agbonlahor. English, Aston Villa, Striker, Cvnt?
weller54 Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Well at least now I can click a link to find out what a midfielder is, been wondering for ages You been watching Villa a lot then?
themightyfin Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Cant we just have a new post in the transfer forum every time we are linked with a player.?
CharlieCharles Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Something along those lines would be good, go all out and install a hot / cold reader on how realistic the transfer is.
weller54 Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Cant we just have a new post in the transfer forum every time we are linked with a player.? Brilliant! Let's give that a shot first.. If it doesn't work we'll revert back to plan B.
TeamRocket Posted 5 January 2016 Posted 5 January 2016 Or they could simply add the wiki link on the description so thats the 1st thing ppl click get a bit of info and link of where they got the news from and of course the YouTube videos
STUHILL Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 I just copy and paste the name into google and boom! Don't see the massive hassle in that tbh.
benpicko Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 I prefer the '[Player Name]? who he?' format myself
fuchsntf Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 This great forum has improved, because people have listened to other peoples ideas. Data bases organisation, link to info have improved and developed greatly. Wiki itself fed on the sharing of information, and developed within itself, because people listened. Yes many of us know how to, fetch and gather info and expand it, or aware of how to collect info from other platforms. But if nobody had, had those ideas, then there would of been no platform, or base to expand to where we are now.Of course we can all or least some help ourselves....egoists a n d arrogance and short memories, now believe its time to stop because its ok for them to get by on. obviously on this forum, its up to the admins and systems to weigh up what they can fit in, but lets not play silly buggers, or know it alls, just appreciate and welcome the ideas without debunking them, no matter how clever you think you are...
Nick Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 I'm all for new ideas provided they are started in the user feedback section of the forum.
Webbo Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 There's nothing to stop thread starters doing that already if they want to but I don't see how you could make it compulsory. Usually there is a link to a newspaper article at the start of a thread anyway.

I agree and in the first post we should have links to all the news articles about the player and we should definitely have a YouTube montage video

Guest Posted 6 January 2016 Posted 6 January 2016 I spent 20 mins searching the web for a player called Ann Idea thinking we were interested in signing a tranny.

Usually there is a link to a newspaper article at the start of a thread anyway. They only way to enforce it is to get mods to change the topic title, hopefully after a while it will catch on, but with the temporary nature of the transfer sub forum, it will probably be forgotten by the next window.

You're assuming that mods can be bothered to look up a prospective signing's age and nationality every time some rumour starts.
