I have no insight but I'm sure the sports science guys know exactly where each player is in react of their personal fitness levels. Perhaps we have taken our foot off the gas for a few weeks deliberately? There hasn't been as much pressing since early December. There is a fair way to go yet and we proved last season that we can 'manage' the fitness levels to eek out the most from the campaign. I'd trust the management on this for a few weeks yet. If we are still playing like this come late February then we will have long since peaked.

Stopped reading when he said he switched off after 75 mins....plastic :)

I'd suffered quite enough and my missus - watching her first full game - had suffered even more!

You won the bet though......hanky panky was in order. Atleast the Mrs might have got 75 seconds of action

It was a shocking second half and I'm only trying to lighten the Foxes Talk gloom, things are soooooooooo bad :)

Well, even with Mahrez costing us two points, we're still joint top. It's a case of what-if, but I'm still chuffed with our league position. We've played shit two games running and still find ourselves 4 points better of and sitting at the summit. It's there for the taking, it really is.

Ha ha ha, believe me it's a persona and I've suuffered plenty of reality and shocking dross in over 4 decades, man n boy, following the City.I'm really happy watching our team at the moment. Im not being blinkered, just trying to be measured and realistic, all things considered.

Our style of football seems to have changed over the last few games. Can't put my finger on it but there is a lot more deep defending, maybe we are missing the speed of Shulpp

We certainly missing the lad - we just don't present the same threat any more and Gray seems to be no more than decoration for the bench so I don't see we're moving forward at all. Albrighton's great... as solid a professional as you'll get but he doesn't scare people. We've no goalscoring central midfielders, no penetration down the right with Mahrez having lapsed into his own world so it's Vardy against the rest, attacking wise, and he's knackered. Kingy came in briefly and offered a reminder of late last season but otherwise it's like we've been neutered - or neutered ourselves.

Mahrez has cost us four points that would have sent us well clear at the top.

However, I'm sure the Labour Party would welcome you in their PR department - or the War department should the need arise.

You reckon? I think we've had our chance - and a really big chance - but we've blown it by losing our nerve and by not buying the reinforcements we needed in good time.  United will get in the top group now and we'll be pipped into fifth place at best, victims of our own lack of belief in passing and moving the ball and the conviction to keep pressing and attacking.

I was feeling good, now I need the number for the Samaritans and Dave Bassett to save our season.

What a difference those 4 points could make at the end. They were both very winnable games, and we had it in our own hands. It would have allowed us to lose a game to one of the big boys and still be in control.

I mentioned before that all we had achieved was to get to the top of the league, and that the hard part was in staying their. Now were seeing just how hard it is to do that.

Which is why another Striker is crucial to help us achieve that goal of top 4.

I'd have needed a much bigger investment than last night's!   :D
