Guest ttfn Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 interesting (not really) but if they hadn't introduced goal line technology we'd probably have got 0 points from our games vs villa this season One of the arguments I read (on here as well)/heard repeatedly was that goal line technology wasn't needed because it was so rare an occurrence. Well that's now 3 times this year (Villa home, Newcastle away, Villa home) that we've had a goal correctly awarded that may otherwise not have been given. Generally I am not in favour of technology in football but GLT is a brilliant invention.
foxfanazer Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Goal line technology is awesome. Not seen a reasonable argument against ut
LCFC FOX Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Some of the chants in the pub pre match were a bit random?
suffolk fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Well what can you say strange game all round. Thought Mahrez was extremely poor all game, even before the penalty miss he just didn't seem himself at all. His penalty though was woeful and we really now must get someone else to take them from now on. Vardy is not the player he was. Said to my son on the way home what we should be doing is resting him for a whole month buy another Striker and give him a go. Austin to Southampton is a steal didn't we offer 12 million in the Summer? We didn't seem to know how to attack them. We seem ok when teams are pressing us and we can hit them on the break but when we Are should be the dominant team we really haven't got a clue. Mahrez with his two penalty misses has now cost us six points three against Bournemouth and now Villa. That's the difference between finishing in the top four or falling away. As for Villa well when they went hoof and long ball we couldn't cope with it at all. They are very poor though and that is what hurts the most we should have beaten them. Won't be sorry to see them relegated, horrible place, horrible fans and as for charging £2 to get into a shit hole of a pub toilets were swimming in pee then the Championship is welcome to them. One last thing Okazaki for De Laat? Why Claudio why?

RowlattsFox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 By the way, has Claudio forgot Albrighton is a right midfielder? It's clear he doesn't trust our right side but he never moves Albrighton who will do the defensive work.
KFS Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Couple of things that wound me up about yesterday: 1. How is it fair that their player can commit a hand ball a point blank range, get a yellow card, then we only get the CHANCE to score again? He's taken a yellow card and then been allowed to play on and help them towards a point. 2. Gestede's fvcking hand got an assist and he's earned them a point by doing so. Nigel Pearson fine margins- absolute robbery.
suffolk fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 We drew both games. The penalty misses cost 4 points, not 6 No six points. We should have beaten Bournemouth and Villa yesterday Penalty goes in against Bournemouth we win 1 0. Penalty had Gone in yesterday it would have been 2 1 us. That's six points not 4?

Well that's now 3 times this year (Villa home, Newcastle away, Villa home) that we've had a goal correctly awarded that may otherwise not have been given. Generally I am not in favour of technology in football but GLT is a brilliant invention. I think Sherwood said this, ball was a foot over the line. Mahrez should've buried his first shot let alone the penalty. We didn't make enough in the second half, I don't know why Drinky didn't head that chance he had or Leo take a shot first time on his clear chance. Gray looked good when he came on, no fear going forward. Huth had a bad game, it had gone to his head Gana should have been booked for several of the tackles on Mahrez, he is getting chopped down a lot so seems like he's not able or not wanting to play his natural game. Their goal was a clear handball, if it hadn't hit his hand it would've been flying in the air not dropping at his feet. I'm glad CR spoke up about this is his post match interview. It's saying something when we are disappointed with an away draw and are top of the league, second depending on the Arsenal result.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 No six points. We should have beaten Bournemouth and Villa yesterday Penalty goes in against Bournemouth we win 1 0. Penalty had Gone in yesterday it would have been 2 1 us. That's six points not 4? Nah you're right mate. Good maths.
linemakers Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Thought the first half we played quick passing football looked sharp and rightfully had the lead. This changed with the pen which gave hope to a poor villa side and brought their crowd to life. At 2-0 the game would have been over but the miss lifted them and just put doubt into our minds. From then onwards we didn't pass or pressure enough and let them back into the game. The injury/taking off of Okazaki didn't help as we weren't able to press their defence. Think we do need another striker to give us a lift and push on again
suffolk fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 By the way, has Claudio forgot Albrighton is a right midfielder? It's clear he doesn't trust our right side but he never moves Albrighton who will do the defensive work. To be fair Albrighton didn't play particularly well yesterday either. First half we were ok second half we just seemed to sit back and let them hoof it into our penalty area. Gestede won every bloody header. Ulloa and De Laat were woeful even Kante was lumping it up in the air second half. We ran out of ideas second half. That said, Drinkwater could have had two and you shouldn't miss penaltys at any level of football let alone the premier league.
Leicesterpool Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Mahrez should not take any more pens for the rest of the season.
linemakers Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Nah you're right mate. Good maths. No we got 2 points from those games so we lost out on 4 points
Nalis Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Cant believe some people are saying we'll struggle to finish top 6. Even Man City from away to Villa! Besides I would rather have beaten a rival (Spurs) in a 6 pointer and drawn with Villa than the other way round. Hopefully Ranieri has seen what needs to be changed (and what not to do re:subs). Also, I remember thinking we might have brought Vardy back too soon from injury, hopefully that wont effect him/us long term.
suffolk fox Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Nah you're right mate. Good maths. Yes, we drew both games thats two points. However, we should have bloody won them and got six points not bloody two! Mathmatician effin Einsteins.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 No we got 2 points from those games so we lost out on 4 points Leave the little fella alone, he's doing some good maths over there.
KFS Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Yes, we drew both games thats two points. However, we should have bloody won them and got six points not bloody two! Mathmatician effin Einsteins. Suffolk mate, we already amassed two points from those games. From our current position we've dropped four points, not six.
Stevosevic Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Leave the little fella alone, he's doing some good maths over there.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 No six points. We should have beaten Bournemouth and Villa yesterday Penalty goes in against Bournemouth we win 1 0. Penalty had Gone in yesterday it would have been 2 1 us. That's six points not 4? Haha bloody hell.
Dr What? Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 Ive just done the maths on a piece of paper and come up with a total of seven points lost
dbtcity Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/leicester-were-complacent-against-aston-7192740 Good post in the mirror after yesterdays performance
foxes161 Posted 17 January 2016 Posted 17 January 2016 The break and miss by Drinky highlights be need for another striker. I hope we bring somebody in as we need more depth upfront
