Bristol_foxes Posted 22 January 2016 Posted 22 January 2016 There isn't any seeding for the qualifiers, they just keep the league winners and team who qualified without winning the leir national league separate. If we won the Premier League we'll automatically go into Pot 1 for the league stage draw so will avoid PSG, Bayern and the Italian and spanish champions and of course all the other English teams. You'd have to fancy us to get out of that group if that was the case. I don't think that's right about qualifiers They have a champions route and non-champions route. Non-champions route involves the higher ranked nations and as far as I can tell this is still seeded - see http://kassiesa.home.xs4all.nl/bert/uefa/seedcl2015.html That's why Man United got a smaller club (Club Brugge) last year and Arsenal have never had any real tests. UEFA club seedings are down to recent experience rather than domestic league... Unless of course we win the Premier League and we would then be one of the "Big Boys". I'd still take fourth mind!

It looks like your right so as it stands we would be in Pot B against the higher rated sides so it looks like we'll get a nasty draw whatever. I've not looked at the co-efficients for each club but it would be something like this: Pot A Inter Milan Borussia Monchengladbach PSV Eindhoven Porto Dynamo Kiev Pot B Leicester FK Rostov Club Brugge Villarreal Angers
Dan Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 They are daunting names but we'd be there for a reason. You don't really want Dynamo Kiev at that point though.
Wymsey Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Whatever the outcome/opposition, it's one to cherish and feel proud of how far the club has come.

Personally I find it hard to see us beating any of them. And I also find it hard to see us finishing higher than 4th. That's dampened things massively for me.
Rincewind Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 Who do people expect to have to face? Aston Villa? It is called Champions League for a reason. The best team in Europe play in it. So if we qualify we must deserve it. Whether we'll be one of the also rans is another matter but at least we will experience it and who knows it could be repeated the following year. Enjoy it.
Rincewind Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 We'll be champions so what's the worry? That's the spirit lad.

That's dampened things massively for me. I don't actually agree with that. They're good sides but they aren't world beating teams. I'd give us a good chance against Inter in-particular. Worst comes to the worst, we lose, it's the Europa League anyway, that'll still bring memories.
LegendOfJoe Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 got to remember if we get 4th place, then in the transfer windown we can offer champions league to new players. A few shrewd champions league quality players and we'd be an improved side and be confident that we could challenge the lower end of the champions league spectrum. Although I'm already part planning with my mates an away trip to the San Siro / bernabeu / Paris (little ahead of myself i know) i can't see us getting home/away results against any big boys wouldn't it be an honour to see our boys line up against Barcelona and have TV coverage looking at the midfield battle of Iniesta - Drinkwter A lad can dream
filbertway Posted 23 January 2016 Posted 23 January 2016 If we're good enough over a season to finish top four in one of the strongest leagues around, I don't see why we shouldn't be able to give anybody a game. It's not like they'd have plucked us from the bottom of the league to play 4th place from Germany.
Webbo Posted 12 June 2016 Posted 12 June 2016 Who is in the pot if we come 1st? http://www.foxestalk.co.uk/forums/topic/105521-champions-league-201617/page-12
Aus Fox Posted 13 June 2016 Posted 13 June 2016 We'll be champions so what's the worry? Master Fox or Mysteic Fox Well played Sir!
