Jordan Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 knock knock, Who's there?? Preki. Preki who??? -Knock knock-Who's there? -Preki. -PREKI? HOLY S***! WTF MAN, EVERYBODY'S BEEN LOOKING FOR YOU FOR LIKE FIVE OR SIX MONTHS, I THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD!
Detroit Blues Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 From a purely selfish standpoint, it would be very good for the US men's national team to have Matt Miazga develop with a premier league side like Leicester. That would mean in the future we'd have 3 young players in defense developing in a premier league club (along with Cameron Carter-Vickers in Tottenham and DeAndre Yedlin currently on loan in Sunderland). From a Leicester point of view, I think he has plenty of upside. He's very young, he has plenty of experience in the MLS, and he's pretty huge like 6'4'' or something.

NYCFox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Heard the guys a bit of a bright spark But New York or Leicester though to live in... The Red Bulls don't even play in New York. (check out Harrison, NJ) And with the salaries some MLS players make, some can't afford it. (yet) Not sure Miazga's situation.
Ozwin Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 This along with Gray and Amartey would be immense. Get a young hungry striker and goalkeeper and we basically have a spine for the next ten years!

emmpii8 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 If he's going to a big club I doubt it'd be kept this quiet

(yet) Not sure Miazga's situation. $70k + some modest kickers. Even if he gets paid a modest £5k/week or something like that, that's 4x raise.

lgfualol Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Going Chelsea. I predict under 5 games for Chelsea before being sold and wasting his potential.

americanfox Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Definitely like what Morris is doing. Hopefully Miazga is loaned out to a team where he will play. Meh, I would have preferred Morris to play in Germany. I watch MLS plenty (DC United supporter), and the standard of the league is pretty poor, especially with defending. So the move is definitely good for Miazga, but hope he's loaned to a side where he can actually continue to improve (hopefully some solid Championship side, at the very least).

If he goes to Chelsea he'll be loaned into Europe, likely somewhere like Vitesse Arnhem. For the long long list - http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-chelsea/leihspieler/verein/631

chapero82 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 He's going Chelsea according to Sky Sports we are being used like an Escort at the minute
richm77 Posted 27 January 2016 Posted 27 January 2016 Why would you sign for Chelsea if you were a hungry young player, last count they had 30 young hungry players out on loan, plus ones that moved on due to lack of playing time - Bruma Bertrand and lakaku and the highly rated Patrick bamford probably will go out on loan again. Seems like another Young carrer going to waste
Jordan Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 The only reason I can think of is the money. It's hard for young players to break in there just because of the sheer number of signings they make. I have to agree with @@richm77 here. I can't speak for Miazga. But if money isn't the issue, I'm fairly sure a 20-year-old defender that's about to get sold would be better off going somewhere where he would get playing time without jumping through these hoops. If he develops to that next level, he'll wind up on a Chelsea-type team anyway and make money off the transfer. If he gets crowded out at Stamford Bridge, he could get let go for peanuts.

Seems like another Young carrer going to waste I honestly cannot see why these young players sign for clubs like Chelsea. The get pimped out with very little chance of playing for the club that signed them. Better off to sign with a Championship club and get lots of playing time & get noticed by a premier side.
Bluearmyfox28 Posted 28 January 2016 Posted 28 January 2016 I'm pretty sure that players use Chelsea as a stepping stone to find themselves another club in Europe.
