broughtonblue Posted 13 February 2016 Posted 13 February 2016 I'm looking to book a room in a luxury hotel, currently looking at Coombe abbey, it must have a large bath or even a jacuzzi in it. Any tips on local places appreciated

VLC86 Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Cedars Hotel Loughborough. Real 'Luxury' I agree, the bed bugs are so posh they use real silver knives to carve you up before eating.

Countryfox Posted 14 February 2016 Posted 14 February 2016 Hambleton Hall, Stapleford Park .... Possibly Kilworth House.
Rob1742 Posted 15 February 2016 Posted 15 February 2016 Did Hambleton Hall last year. It's nice, but because of its very nature, these places tend to be dull. Blokes dressed in jackets and ties for dinner. You can hear a pin drop in the bar and in the restaurant when you eat. The most action I saw in there was when I sat in the bar after dinner and did the most pungent after dinner fart imaginable. I just sat there and waited to see if any of the clientele would actually say something, or would they just politely breathe it in. Eventually some guy got up and said he needed to go outside for some fresh air. Go further afield, pop on the train and go to The Dorchester. Now that's decent, but also a great atmosphere.
