Steven Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 ... but it is ok for Dave to suck up to the Saudis (the ones funding ISIS) for the sake of arms deals.
Guest MattP Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 ... but it is ok for Dave to suck up to the Saudis (the ones funding ISIS) for the sake of arms deals. The two aren't really comparable are they? One is the Prime Minister who knows a lot of money and jobs rely on trade with Saudi Arabia, the other is a London mayoral candidate who has sat down with an ISIS supporter nine times for reasons we can't yet gather. Although I do admire anyone who thinks Britain should have no dealings with these countries at all, it would take a lot of principle to put morals above trade, jobs etc and tolerate your own countries finances taking a huge hit to make a point of virtue, the problem is, rather perversly, that those who often shout from the rooftops about how we should do no business with any place whose values we see as barbaric are then often the ones who are calling for huge increases in public spending at the same time, figure that one out.

Careful with your terminology... Cameron used the phrase 'IS' yesterday, which is not his recognised term for the group you've mentioned - that would have been daesh and he has been very careful to use that at all times for a long time now. My understanding is that he used the term 'IS' because the person in question believes in the creation of an Islamic State, but that should not be confused with supporting what we know as 'ISIS'. Perhaps research this a little further and if you find you may be misleading is your comments, amend them accordingly.
Stadt Posted 21 April 2016 Posted 21 April 2016 I would have voted Conservative at the last election had I been old enough but now I'm becoming disenchanted with the Tories but what's the alternative? The Conservatives are a joke with Osborne being the biggest of the lot yet Labour are somehow even worse.
Rincewind Posted 23 April 2016 Posted 23 April 2016 Oh dear eggon face time for our nice Mr C. The person he accused of supporting ISIS may have voted Conservative in the last GE because he did not support his Labour candidate views on gay marriage. He has also contacted lawyers because of the claims on a TV programme and the damage to his reputation and distress caused to his family. He has released a statement condemning terrorism. Because of Parliamentary 'privilege' MP's can tell untruths whilst in the HOC. Outside they have to be more careful. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/imam-accused-of-being-is-supporter-by-david-cameron-is-conservative-supporter-a6995116.html
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Corbyn's an idiot. Can't believe he's led on the same topic as last week.
foxoffderby Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Corbyn's an idiot. Can't believe he's led on the same topic as last week. Anyone who votes for him is a bigger one
Guest MattP Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Corbyn's an idiot. Can't believe he's led on the same topic as last week. Bizarre, why does he never mention Junior Doctor's? I was surprised he didn't last time and I was absolutely certain he would this week. Cameron has just gone with the anti-semitism stuff now, quoting McDonnell who says even if people say they have reformed their views they can do it in another organisation.
Webbo Posted 27 April 2016 Posted 27 April 2016 Surely if Corbyn leads with the doctors strike and a patient dies as a result of it then he'll be tainted by his support. It's good politics, lets the doctors do the shit stirring and just stay above it.
Guest MattP Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Vaz turning up to PMQ's in his City scarf as well, couldn't help but smile.
Alf Bentley Posted 4 May 2016 Posted 4 May 2016 Vaz turning up to PMQ's in his City scarf as well, couldn't help but smile. I have to laugh at blatantly insincere chancers like Vaz and Cameron. We need some proper football fans in politics. http://metro.co.uk/2015/11/09/arsenal-fan-jeremy-corbyn-bridges-the-football-fan-divide-by-earning-support-of-tottenham-hotspur-fan-5489163/
Guest MattP Posted 29 June 2016 Posted 29 June 2016 Ironic the last post here is to do with football, Jim Shannon of the DUP just spoke in the house and Cameron referred to him having a good year as he's a Leicester fan. We;ve got a few in there. Huge attack from DC on Corbyn today "It might be good for my party for you to stay, but it's not good for the nation, for heaven's sake, go man!"
