Players who fit the LCFC mould

Was thinking about possible new recruits this summer.

Who could improve the squad while at the same time have the necessary attributes (work ethic, lack of ego, ridiculous drive) that fit with our successful formula started by NP & evolved by CR?

Troy Deeney springs to mind. Long time fan of him. Troubled past has been used as a catalyst to prove people wrong. Would love to see him and Vardy together.

Hard to discuss, really... because half of the players that do so well for us, i had never heard of before and so there's every chance that half of the players we are looking at for the summer we won't of heard of either...

I've always been a fan of Mark Noble and think he has the right attitide as well as the talent

Might seem a little unambitious but we've got the best out of players like Albrighton and Simpson

Noble is West am thru and thru though isn't he. He's going nowhere. I agree with you, he's got a great attitude and would fit us brilliantly. I think he'll forever be blowing bubbles.

We are going to be in the Champions League. I don't mean to come across arrogant but we do need to set out sights a little higher than Shane Long and Mark Noble.

lol no I didn't mean it to sound like that. I meant I was only answering the quetion of the thread title not necessarily who I think we could sign. I agree Noble would find it almost impossible to leave the Hammers.

Hope you're doing good anyway pal ;)

I get what you're saying but we've done amazingly well this season with Albrighton, Morgan, Drinkwater etc. We are a stronger group than our individual parts would suggest

I understand what you're getting at, and vaguely agree, but the word 'mould' makes us sound like a cult.

Ha fair enough, not a bad cult though

Mark Noble YES.

However he wouldn't currently get in our match day squad

Not sure what WH fans would say to that.

And i'm not sure he'd leave them...ever, if he had the choice.

Denney is a good call but not sure he or Watford would entertain the idea.

Don't get me wrong, I take that point. We have been masters of bargains and signing 'rejects'. And now those rejects have made up a bloody brilliant squad it's time to add some proven talent, nothing too dramatic as nothing is really broken. That would propel us on to the next level! Also, we need a bigger squad for Europe. I don't seriously expect us to win the Champions League but we haven't ever been whipping boys so may as well give it a go. And that will require numbers.
