Ric Flair Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Ziyech from Twente Bolasie from Palace Lacazette from Lyon
erlee Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Kevin Mirallas' speed would suit us...!! (and Ranieri will be able to instill some needed discipline into his play)
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Goodness me...There are some funny shouts in here. We will be playing Champs league football next season, most likely, and people are shouting for Troy Deeney and Shane Long? I get the 'type' of player thing..Long seems a good lad...but we are going to have to up the anti somewhat next season. We are now known as a recognised top side and as such, can start to attract some very good players to compliment the existing squad. TheY must be the right type of player..no big time charlies after a massive wage..but we can do better than Shane Long surely?
HighPeakFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Should appoint her club doctor just to wind up all these Arsenal conspiracy theorists who believe our success is due to doping. Maria Sharapova Good to see that someone has followed my thinking
filbertway Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I'd fancy Deeney to have had a better season for us than Ulloa or Okazaki this year. He plays that link up role so well. Shelvey in our team would be hilarious to see. He'd have to come off after 5 minutes every game.
shen Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 tremendous, why not go the whole hog and buy a complete relegated team while we are at it, maybe swap Ranieri for McClown as well WE RE GOING BE CHAMPIONS, WE NEED TO SET OUR SIGHTS HIGH We're not Champions yet. And looking at the overall age of our players and the likelihood of players like Mahrez and Kanté leaving on huge deals, it's by no means a guarantee we can recreate the performances next season or the one after. Did you think pinching Mahrez from a French second division side was a sign of lacking ambition? Or even a free signing from struggling Villa? What about Huth, who wasn't figuring for Stoke? The expensive 'big-name' signings (Kramaric, Inler, Benalouane, Okazaki) have largely disappointed or not figured. We have a superb record of pinching players with something to prove on the cheap. Just because we have reached the heady heights of this season doesn't mean we should relinquish the approach that has got us to where we are.
Gerard Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Ousmane Dembele I've just read up on him and he would be brilliant for us. He would fit into the sort of player who fits our profile as he's only 18 and will probably be a world class player at some point but the likes of Arsenal, Bayern and Barcelona are sniffing around so we would have no chance if we had to compete with these. I'd love us to be interested and he certainly won't be at Rennes too long so someone will prise him away. http://www.espnfc.com/club/stade-rennes/169/blog/post/2824516/ousmane-dembele-remarkable-rennes-rise-has-clubs-on-notice
ScouseFox Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 in the 12 years of foxestalk has anyone ever written a name in a thread like this that we've actually signed? they're always full of either complete shite (jonjo shelvey ffs) or people saying "um ye wot bout marco reus" as if the whole world hasn't already tried and are still trying to sign him . just give up.

Couldn't agree more, most people haven't got a clue as they either set the bar ridiculously low or ridiculously high. From Hoolahan to Reus FFS just on this thread
walkerleeds Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Deeney with Vardy would be up there with the best strike partnership in the prem. Shame they would probably be asking for 10- 15mill too much given how impressive his season has been.

For a COUP signing like Inler & kramaric - both have no look ins & not even on the bench on most match days. Are they REALLY that bad?? how do the LCFC know they are that bad? not maybe they 're relative "bad" compared to the First XI. Any idea?
Simi Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I'd like to see us adding to the squad primarily to compete for another top 4-6 finish next season, the Champions League really is the stuff of dreams. Signing young talent from Europe (Ousmane Dembele - Rennes) is fine, but let's NOT throw big money at names unproven in the BPL. I'd rather pursue talent that is going down to the Championship or from clubs under-performing who have bought and are now looking to off-load, but no-one who demands too much in personal terms. Top 4-6 contenders ? (all of these presumably have personal terms way above what we would pay) Chelsea ? Terry (I hate myself for that), Oscar and Remy. Liverpool ? Ibe. West Ham ? Payet, Antonio and Kouyate (sorry Hammers)!!! Man Utd ? Mata. Man City ? Silva. Arsenal ?Gibbs, Campbell and Oxelaide-Chamberlain. Spurs ? Eriksen. Seem to have hoovered up a squad full of CONSIDERATIONS without including the gems like Aguerro, Costa etc. Above all sign players who WANT to be playing here. This is one of the most deluded posts in the history of this forum.

Rondon, Berahino and Sessegnon. Southampton ? Tadic, Mane and the forgotten Jay Rodriguez. Stoke ? Butland Top 4-6 contenders ? FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 On what basis is it deluded, or is your opinion FACT ??

We took a right back from QPR, for Christ sake.
Simi Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 On what basis is it deluded, or is your opinion FACT ?? On what planet are we going to be able to sign Payet, Silva, Lukaku or Eriksen? All star players for their clubs. Regardless of whether we win the league or not, we are still going to be way down the pecking order in terms of desirability to potential players.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 Simi, I didn't realise that we were not allowed to debate players who we think (opinion only) might suit our style of play. I thought that was the title and purpose of the thread ?? I'm well aware that all of the above are stars in their own right, but deluded ?? Deluded would have had us relegated last year. Deluded would NEVER have us fighting for the title this year with European football virtually guaranteed well before Easter. Be careful of delusion. it might limit the way you approach things.

Fox92 Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 I've always rated Mark Noble and for me he should be on the verge of the England squad now but there's no way he'd come here. He's practically Mr West Ham.
Gerard Posted 9 March 2016 Posted 9 March 2016 We can forget PL players by and large. The only ones we will be able to sign are the ones from relegated clubs or players that are not wanted by their current clubs. We have little chance of waltzing in and buying a Bolasie, Ighalo, Deeney, Bojan, etc unless we pay way over the market value and quite frankly there is a lot better value abroad. I'm right behind what seems to be our current transfer policy which is signing the best players from decent leagues. Players who are young and have quality and should be ambitious to prove themselves in a top five league. For example: Dragovic in Ukraine Musa In Russia Embolo in Switzerland
