digitalalba Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Nigel Person 2/1 David Moyes 3/1 Mick McCarthy 6/1 Eric Black 8/1 Gary Monk 12/1 Would love Nigel to get the job, deserves it, and if Villa (or any other club for that matter) don't get him, they're mentally retarded.
ramboacdc Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 hes favourite for every job. no one will go in this side of the summer now. the captain has just jumped the ship as is sinks.
Jimmy Lad Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 I hope he gets no job until Shakespere and Walsh are tied down to very very long deals at LCFC! Anyone else fear that the lack of news on their contract extensions is a little concerning with NP set to land a new job?
bovril Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Is there any point now? Just stick the youth team coach in for 7 games to see how he does.

Fox92 Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Is there any point now? Just stick the youth team coach in for 7 games to see how he does. I think someone would be taking over in the summer. A complete rebuild is needed at Villa and Nigel Pearson has done that twice here and once at Hull before.
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Literally no benefit in joining them now, half the players will be gone in the summer and you're just installing a losing mentality into yet another manager. Get some caretaker in, wait until the summer if you're going to get Nige in. How can the Villa owners get it so wrong time after time?
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 wouldn't mind seeing Pearson at Villa! Rather that than Derby. Hope he gets it
Stadt Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 He'd be great for them, guaranteed a play off place first season, second season he'd get them automatically promoted.
Brenfox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 He'd do what he did at Hull. Clear the decks of all the big earners & sign some competitive championship players to challenge for promotion. A no brainer for the Villa board.

Get some caretaker in, wait until the summer if you're going to get Nige in. How can the Villa owners get it so wrong time after time? Money, unwilling to invest. I don't think NP will fall into the trap of losing mentality, there needs to be pressure for that to happen.

Do you remember what is was like when we got relegated to league one? You could say the same thing about us then, and he didn't do too bad

Get some caretaker in, wait until the summer if you're going to get Nige in. How can the Villa owners get it so wrong time after time? They can't really do wrong here. If they're smart, Villa could have any manager sign a contract now, let him enjoy his thing on the sidelines and consider the remaining seven PL games a real-life training ground where valuable experience and information can be gained, both for the club and the new manager. It gives you a great view of what some of these players are truly capable of. And then in the summer, the prospect of being able to clear out deadwood and instilling your own philosophy, as well as starting with a well-known outfit not too far off where you left off will be attractive enough a proposition.
The Doctor Posted 2 April 2016 Posted 2 April 2016 Do you remember what is was like when we got relegated to league one? You could say the same thing about us then, and he didn't do too bad Pearson wasn't appointed the season before though - he came in once we were down there, so he didn't do 2 months with a squad which then disappeared and didn't have to start from scratch again.
