The Swiss Ramble is a football blog that goes into a fair amount of detail on the financial side of things, new post up on Leicester. Enjoy.
FantasticMrFox&Son Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Having skim-read, Thank You. Will read in detail tonight, sad git that I am.
MrSpaM Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Mandaric didn't do too bad out of us all things considered then. Bought the club for 6 million and sold it for 39
queensguardfox Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Since the owners wiping the 100m into equity. We now have a financial debt of 29m. That report blows my mind! I need a lay down after reading all that, very informative good find!

In a nutshell - We're on course for world domination by 2020!
Vicki Vixen Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Excellent report....until he suggested Matthew Upson was a good signing.
Out Foxed Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 do we still owe st johns ambulance from administration? we should pay that debt.
FoxFossil Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Really top detailed report. Recommended reading. The link to a two person 'marketing' company working out of a warehouse with no telephone or website, and the resultant investigation by FA, is a little worrying. I'm sure the owners really don't want any suggestion that the current success has been anything other than fairly won, as you know what GB journalists are like - build 'em up to knock 'em down. Otherwise the figures don't lie, a really well run club, being properly managed.
kushiro Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Hilarious how in the middle of a dry financial report they suddenly call a spade a spade, describing QPR's spending as 'ridiculous' and Villa's performace as 'woeful'.
Foxxed Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Good to hear there's no financial reason for the club to sell anyone, too.

Nalis Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Excellent report....until he suggested Matthew Upson was a good signing. I genuinely forgot he played for us last season.
Jacnah Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 do we still owe st johns ambulance from administration? we should pay that debt. if that is true we absolutely should regardless of legal obligations (or lack of them)
Freeman's Wharfer Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Some of those figures pre-Premier League just go to show why the owners should worship the ground Pearson walks on. All's well that ends well and all that but it could have been a very different story were it not for what he did for the club.
nobby.bk Posted 30 March 2016 Posted 30 March 2016 Thank you. Very interesting article. Now, I understand why it is so difficult to be on the top five of EPL. The amount of money that you need to turnaround a club is usually quite substantial. It took 80 million pounds to move the club from Championship to PL. The investment returns from the industry are generally appalling. No wonder, many of the Championship club owners lost interest after a while.
Thracian Posted 31 March 2016 Posted 31 March 2016 Outstanding read. Pity the Brexit situation can't be mapped out as clearly and comprehensively.
