Foxhateram Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Jesus we already gave them a million pounds for him when he was in the conference. They should count themselves lucky for that. 1 mill to a club of that size is huge. Ahhh well contracts, sell on clauses and release clauses. Whoever was in charge of all this lot has had an absolute mare!
Blue will Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 This is a nightmare, only us can cock it up like this! Thought he wanted to stay? Arsenal will get Kante too. What a mess
gurru991 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Are you nuts His agent Would have had him sold in January if there was a chance he could be sold for 5m Agents release all these details and if he could have gone for 5m this summer he would have signed no contract that's guaranteed ! It seems They have been hawking him all over the place some the day after the league was won No point in moving him in January. His contract value has tripled since then. You really don't grasp the big picture do you. And no, the last assessment definitely ruled out "nuts"

Great Boos Up Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 after so many mistakes, I am still good enough to be chief... I was using poetic licence. Drinkwater couldnt get in the london club nor Hodgsons squad, didnt want to mention him again.. No need to apologise Chief, this place is worse than Chernobyl.
GaelicFox Posted 4 June 2016 Author Posted 4 June 2016 No need to apologise Chief, this place is worse than Chernobyl. Ahh now Chernobyl isn't anywhere near as bad as FT
Guest Mee-9 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Lets face it. A £20m release fee is ****ing disgraceful.
MC Prussian Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Ahh now Chernobyl isn't anywhere near as bad as FT Well, you keep pushing the wrong button repeatedly!
Bayfox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Lets face it. A £20m release fee is ****ing disgraceful. Seems it now. But let's just suggest that at the time vardy signed his new deal. We could have still fell away and finished 5th 6th 7th. Maybe worse. So either vardy had aspirations of playing in the cl. Or his agent insisted on it. The failing is for is to still exist once we became a champions league club.
MC Prussian Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Lets face it. A £20m release fee is ****ing disgraceful. People dying of war, AIDS, famine or malaria is ****ing disgraceful. We might be laughing our heads off if Vardy's career takes a nosedive after the transfer. A player's worth is composed of many elements - who on Earth would be willing to pay let's say £50m for a 29-year old going on 30 with one spectacular Premier League season to his name only? As much as I rate Vardy, you also have to take into account that his rise from non-league to the highest domestic level is/was down to management, belief, support on and off the pitch. Where would Vardy be without the help of his teammates? The assists of Mahrez, Albrighton, Drinkwater, King, Fuchs to name a few?
ScouseFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 the fact arsenal are offering the 20 mill and there's still 3 months of the transfer window left shows it's massive value for them. we'd get 30+ mill definitely, or tell everyone he's not for sale if he didn't have a frankly outrageous release clause.

Will1981 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Happy for Fleetwood tbh. £5m makes a lot more difference for them than it does for us. £4.75m but I agree it will be great for them.
Webbo Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 It will only be 25% of the profit so a bit less than 5 million. Also it's in the contract of a lot of managers that they get a cut of any transfer fee plus I think the scout is entitled to a cut as well.
erlee Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 Wow. That's game changing money for Fleetwood Town. i hope that deal goes thru..at least Fleetwood should be able to recoup some cost thanks for coming Vardy

This... The buy out clause is terrible business on our part. Even 25 mill might have made teams think a bit. Whoever has agreed this (knowing the form he was in) needs talking to..... (putting it politically correctly).
mozartfox Posted 5 June 2016 Posted 5 June 2016 A sensible person would have set the release figure at net of any sell on clause sum, that way we would not be shafted both ways. Anyhow, what's done is done. A lesson there for LCFC. So we receive 75% of an artificially low figure - magic. I doubt King Power would signed that contract so hopefully our astute Owners request a stewards on this.
