Berahino?

Let him go to Stoke. Joke of a player. Might have ability but his best ability seems to be causing friction in his own team.

Come on man , is he causing trouble in that dressing room lol

Huth would sit in him while Morgan pulls his toe nails out !

I think we could be the making of him strong men with strong values and a champions league campaign to let him test his own opinion of himself

At 5m it's a no brainier !

I wouldn't mind us getting him at a knock-down price if JV were to leave the club,  The lad has footballing talent and has a proven goal scoring record without having the talent laden midfield feeding him such as JV has benefited from. The problems are he would never be content with being a squad player and could "turn" the dressing room if not first choice striker every week, or regularly subbed as per Shinji (I am expecting Shinji to find the net frequently next season and stay on his feet).

Good, right mardy git, classic case of a billy big bollocks, now rondon on the other hand is a player we should go after.

If we don't go for Slimani, Rondon is definitely my choice to replace ulloa....

Rondon is a great shout.

Didn't this guy get punched in the face by his own team mate for being such an arrogant t***? I wouldn't want him anywhere near our squad.

I must be one of the only peeps going against the grain here. I think Berahino would be a great signing for the club. He's got pretty much everything in his locker, would be classified as 'home grown' for Champions League purposes and will only get better. I see him as a Defoe type striker. Nippy, gets in behind and with a cool finish.

I also think he's 'controllable' by the right manager and the right set of team mates  (which we have). He's no Balotelli in that regard I don't think.

20 mill at present for the ability this kid has? Seems a bit of a steal for me IF we could get him working hard and not being a tithead off the field. I think we could.

Personally I think hes over rated. If I was West Brom I would snap there had off for that sort of money and get rid of him, he clearly does not want to play for them so why force him to stay like they have done over the last few transfer windows

Good post and I think you are seeing the right way to look at him.

On the current basis of strikers we've got and us still needing one more striker (IMO), I'd be willing to give Berahino an opportunity. Not sure if the club are interested but I wouldn't mind us to be if we were.

He's talented and like you pointed out around good team mates he could really flourish. He'd be in a positive environment and under Claudio who could develop his game even more.

You may well be proved to be right Col. I liked the look of him him when he played against us at the KP in our first season back in the Premier. I just think that Saido, and for that matter John Stones, are salutary reminders of how it can go wrong holding on to players who want to move.

He's not very good.

3 month spell playing well and all of a sudden he thinks everyone wants him so he kicks up a fuss. Then people ignore 2 years of him playing shit and blame it on the fact he's had a fall out with his current club.

Total fraud.

Impossible to argue with that assessment, but playing wide for the most defensive team in the league can't have helped the poor bugger.

I'm not a huge fan of Berahino but to be fair I wouldn't want to play for Pulis either. Must be a nightmare as a striker knowing you will get 1 maybe 2 decent chances a game if you're lucky. With the chances we create he would get goals but his attitude is extremely questionable.

I don't want to sign him because he would have the Beckford curse. He could be the best professional at the club but as soon as it goes wrong for him in any way all of our fans would blame his attitude, despite knowing nothing about his attitude.
