ScouseFox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 attitude aside, he's simply awful at footy. he's an incredible athlete, that's for sure. he could run past 6 people with about 4 strides. then he puts the ball out the ground, literally every time. he's like an unfunny, unlovable schlupp. cannot believe anyone would want him even if he had the attitude of a vardy or a drinkwater.
SlaneyLCFC Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 no one will "want" him at £35 Million. Shocking valuation.
Mike Oxlong Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 He owes Newcastle a season in the Championship for picking up last season's wages.
Guest MattP Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Do you think Newcastle just happened to sign all the players in the world with the worst attitude going, or do you think there might be serious issues at the club that could have contributed to said players attitudes. If you're in a work place, with owners not having a clue what they are doing, manager after manager being clueless. A revolving door with players coming in and out, a poisonous atmosphere from the fans... I think most people would struggle to get motivated, no matter what you're getting paid. I wouldn't just rule anyone out on the basis of what they were like there, Newcastle have some serious issues. Not all Newcastle players have a terrible attitude, Mitrovic cared, Colback cared, Townsend cared, most of them are just crap, they all seemed to step up towards the end of last season Sissoko apart. Sissoko's problem was a lack of effort and a consistent lack of effort no matter who the manager was, he seemed to liven when he was a game or two from winning a major trophy, if the going gets tough here (which is likely at some point) he'll vanish again and he just isn't worth that risk given the damage players like that can cause to a dressing room, let alone a risk we'd take at 35million. We're a band of brothers, not a band of brothers just for managers they like.
dorsetboy Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 35 million is stupid money although like a poster said earlier maybe the newcastle way just got him down and a cba attitude but if we did get him he would fit nice in a 4-2-3-1 formation ---------------------------------------vardy---------------------------------- musa---------------------------sissoko----------------mahrez---------- ------------------mendy----------------------drinkwater------------------

You can get the life sucked out of you at that club, I bet they weren't complaining about Sissoko after his 6 months when they were sat 3 points off champions league in 6th at Christmas. They finished 10th that year. Mitrovic again, only a short period of time. And I wouldn't confuse kicking people and getting angry about anything and everything as caring. He was more careless than anything.
Grewks Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 A signing to replace Kante? No deal. A signing to appease Kante? Worth 30 million
spudfox2911 Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 If kante goes for 20m and we sign sissoko for 35m we really have got twat stamped on our foreheads. Topped only by man utd releasing pogba 4 years ago only to re-sign him for 100m (if it happens)
GaelicFox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Ron Atkinson would have an off air on mic view of him that might agree with the Gordie nations view of him
fox_favourite Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 I can't see why people are still stuck on 'hes a replacement for Kanté?! It's like saying Musa was signed to replace Kasper!! Kanté is a DM and Sissoko is attacking minded. I stand by my statement. He does ha e the talent, but only shows it when he wants to or when he's motivated. Our team ethic is to give 100% week in week out, whatever the scoreline or situation we are in. He just hasn't shown that for Newcastle. Yes, they were poor, but he was one of he reason they went down, not putting in the effort and not looking like he cares. Definitely a no from me.

TJB-fox Posted 12 July 2016 Posted 12 July 2016 Sissoko started off his career at Toulouse as a cdm or cm, and Kante is a box to box centre mid so quite similar there. Yes he has played on the wing and cam but has still operated centrally for Newcastle and showed for France he can still play that role. Not really getting involved in the whole 'do I want him' debate I'm just saying that he could be a replacement for Kante playing style wise

He is a box to box player who happens to be very talented and versatile so can play anywhere in midfield. While at Toulouse he was touted as the next Yaya in terms of dynamism and ability to create and power past people.
Hack Posted 13 July 2016 Posted 13 July 2016 Relegation is no advert for anyone. Can't blame anyone player for relegation. He is a class player and will contribute to whoever gets him.
waylander Posted 17 July 2016 Posted 17 July 2016 Would be time for a change for him. Bring in the next yaya.
