He was amazing under Pardew who is also a motivational coach (not in the same league as CR) and also was actually pretty ok when Benitez came in. Was made captain and results picked up, it was just too late. Mendy as a holder and DD and MS driving box to box, that would be an awesome 433. Can also play on the right too.

Has Sissoko been any good for Newcastle.......NO, but he showed what ability he has in the Euros final. He mite go missing sometimes in games but it was not so long ago that we were all saying the same about Marhez and look at him now

It's very difficult to judge any Newcastle player as the whole club is a shambles. What they are there, might not be what they are like in a well run club, surrounded by a good group. If he'd been like that already at a club like ours then that's a different story. You'd have to look back through his club history and also see if you can find out what he's like as a person.

However what's in question is his attitude, but in the right situation he could prove to be a real asset. I'm sure CR and the Coaches could get him focused on what's important.

If you're in a work place, with owners not having a clue what they are doing, manager after manager being clueless. A revolving door with players coming in and out, a poisonous atmosphere from the fans... I think most people would struggle to get motivated, no matter what you're getting paid. I wouldn't just rule anyone out on the basis of what they were like there, Newcastle have some serious issues.

His complete transformation under a motivated French side - who didn't take one of their best players in Benzema to avoid morale issues - is testament to this. If Walsh wants him - I want him.
