Alf Bentley Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 Good news. Always good to see a few come up through the youth team ranks - and stay (for a while, at least!). Seems to have a lot of potential from what little I've seen.
Dames Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 Excellent news. Will be competing with Luke Shaw for the left back spot for England at the next world cup i reckon.
lgfualol Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 Great news. We'll play him 15 times and Liverpool will sign him for £60m
sdb Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 Get in. The next Alan Sheehan. Seriouly though, great news.
Woof Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 I thought he looked good at the beginning of last season - he looks even better now, so this is great news!

ballsooo Posted 28 July 2016 Posted 28 July 2016 ecstatic with this. he's looked the business whenever i've seen him. talented and so composed and mature, hopefully he gets a fair bit of game time this season and continues to develop. we've a real top prospect on our hands with him! exciting times.
Vince Vega Posted 29 July 2016 Posted 29 July 2016 From the BBC site - Gossip Column; Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is considering using England midfielder James Milner, 30, as an emergency left-back after giving up on signing Ben Chilwell, 19, from Leicester City.(Daily Telegraph) Might he have given up because Chilwell....er.....signed a new contract?
dmayne7 Posted 29 July 2016 Posted 29 July 2016 Just seen a snippet of his interview; was asked whether it was an easy decision and he said it wasn't but he's made the right choice. I'm actually incredibly impressed with him after that. He's clearly thought it through and he's honest enough to admit it was easy. Seems like another pretty grounded lad and if he stays that way he'll be first choice next season.

UPinCarolina Posted 29 July 2016 Posted 29 July 2016 This might honestly be the best bit of business of our whole transfer window, aside from the hypothetical signing of Mahrez to a longer term contract (or simply retaining him).
whoareyaaa Posted 29 July 2016 Posted 29 July 2016 Another coop for the club, looks like he has great potential to perform at the highest level. him and Gary will be devistating, two top class young talents
