Shame. Lot of positives to take though. Thought we were the better team. Musa and Vardy is gonna be lethal. Need a new right back for competition with Simpson. Mahrez was unbelievably poor in that second half

I'm a bit concerned with our midfield. Hopefully Mendy grows into it, but I'm not sure I know what he's good at based on the minutes he's had so far.

 

I'm not criticising, mind. He needs time.

Positives: good effort all round, Musa could be lethal on that performance, Dimmy Gray gets better every game, Okazaki looks sharper, King hurt Lingard after that wretched celebration

 

Negatives: no Shield (which will probably just fire the lads up a bit more for next week)

It smarts because we're just not used to losing. That's a good thing.

Musa and vardy looks promising. Gray is getting better and better. Mahrez had a rare poor game but will bounce back next week I'm sure. Utd looked bang average but still scraped through as they do so often. I can't wait to see how we do next week

Mahrez has now been p!$$ poor for 3 games.

Simpson was poor, I wouldn't be surprised if that is the last game he starts for a while. Mahrez was crowded out of the game fairly easily. King didn't get up to much and Drinkwater passing in the first half was wayward. I think we may well see Musa, Mendy and Hernandez start in place of Okazaki, King and Simpson with possibly also Grey for Abrighton against Hull.
