Would be great to punch him from under saints noses slimani and a center mid I'd be happy but Carnt see any new arrivals far to quiet

Not sure he'd want to sign for us if we send Anderson Perry over to punch him...

We currently already have three centre backs not getting a game. How about we let the new guy find his feet and see how he goes before we bin him off and but someone else because you don't have the patience to wait and see. Benny didn't do much wrong when he played and Was is solid enough for the odd game.

It's also debatable we need another striker, you'll end up with an expensive purchase not even getting on the bench if you have buy another. Four strikers should be plenty, if there is an injury then you have the option of playing Kapustka or Mahrez at 10. Not ideal... But neither is overloading the squad with people who won't even get in the squad.

Same goes for midfield, we've bought two DM's since we signed Kante. Two we seem to be binning off before trying by the looks of it.  Now with Inler maybe going and James likely to need a loan another one wouldn't go amiss.

Hernandez was awful at centre back against Hull but quite decent at right back against United so I'd be inclined to utilise him as an understudy to Simpson. Wasilewski isn't good enough any more, I love the bloke but he just isn't Champions League material. Benalouane will never be seen in a Leicester shirt again.

Musa can be utilised effectively on the left flank based on his Arsenal cameo so he can find game time there if needs be, Ulloa or Okazaki are never going to be world beaters they are just very useful squad players.

In midfield we have Mendy, Drinkwater, Amartey and King. At some point we might need to switch to a three man midfield leaving us one player to cover injuries. Logic tells me that isn't enough.

I stand by what I said, we need three players in these positions.

Are you ever wrong about anything, generally?

I've only ever been wrong once and that's when I thought I was wrong but it turned out I was right. Of course that isn't serious. I'm not stating what I've said on the matter as a fact, I'm stating it as an opinion.

Ok. I still hope to be pleasantly surprised by one or two we have written off.

I appreciate where you're coming from and in a perfect world three amazing players would be great don't get me wrong.

I wouldn't say no if the club could do it. But it's not FM and it's a bit more difficult than just continually buying and not trying people properly and stock piling players like it doesn't matter.

We aren't a City who can pump unlimited money at whoever they want and discard players without even trying them.

There is something more wrong if we are buying piles of people and not trying them properly, than if we decide to actually give them a chance before replacing them.

He looked tidy in the pre season games I watched, I won't be giving up on him after 2 games where he was along side our captain who was all over the place, had big wes have been suspended and he was slotted in beside a talker in Huth I have a feeling he wouldn't have looked as shaky

I get where you're coming from but I don't think signing three more would be considered stock piling players, I'd call it further strengthening our options and we will need all the options we can get for the coming season as we venture into the Champions League for the first and possibly last time. Let's make it memorable and use our new found superstar status to our advantage as we will probably never get another chance, that's all I'm saying.

I never said I was giving up on him I just said that I preferred him at right back and that is where I'd prefer to see him playing.

if we could start with that team the day after the transfer window closes then to me that would be a very succesful transfer window for us

Sky reporting 16m fee. That seems very low considering we're quoted  25m+ for every player we show interest in.

We're quoted high for all of our signings, but we never pay that high.

Look at Musa and Mendy, their final figures were far lower than the original quotes.

Quote high, bid low, meet in the middle :D
