Treacle Fox Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Didn't do a lot other than the two set pieces for the goals. Albrighton should be in there instead.
MattCan Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Looks like this thread is making some people uncomfortable ??? !!! Weird .. They may prefer "Badly missing Mahrez' I guess ... Now sing it: MahrezMagic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AyewJoking Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Only there cos he got 2 goals and is a big name

holyfox Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Thought Mahrez played quite well yesterday given the situation. He was in and out of games alot last year too, but his odd flashes of brillance make up for it. Cut the guy some slack at least he was tracking back. He's also going to vital in getting the most out of Slimani. Front three look great, it's the hole in the middle that needs the work. Once the Drinky- Amartey?mendy partnership is slick, we'll be back to ourselves and better I think.. Be patient as it might take time and it might not be till next season we see all of these really start ticking
PhillippaT Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Here's ESPN's UCL team of the week: http://a.espncdn.com/combiner/i/?img HUTH!!!

You and your "lovers" are "funny"... I like Albrighton I really think he should be playing RB and if carry on scoring like yesterday...surely...maybe.

Vardinio'sCat Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 The free kick was worth his place on its own. First we win the Premier League... then we actually score a direct free kick. My life is complete!
Vardinio'sCat Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Although Albrighton was also worthy of recognition, for totally different reasons. What a team.
crazyleicester Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 Its weird how two set pieces which lead to goals elevate a player to a TOTW when he didnt really have a great all round game! Im one of his biggest fans but he hasnt actually had a good game all season and still banged in a few goals! Imagine if he actually starts playing well?!!! Lets hope he gained some serious confidence from this type of stuff and he tears Burnley a new one this weekend.
trabuch Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 That's a shit team. No Mark Albrighton. Who is doing the work in that "team"? Has the football world learnt nothing from last year?

AlgerianFox Posted 15 September 2016 Author Posted 15 September 2016 Vote for UEFA Goal of the Week http://gotw.uefa.com/en/uefachampionsleague/results At the moment Ryad is third behind Ronaldo and Iniesta. nb: unfortunately Albrighton is not in the list (save the few an unnecessary click)
Guest the fox Posted 15 September 2016 Posted 15 September 2016 He scored 2 of the 3 goals. Scored a free kick that was nominated for the goal of the week. He 100℅ deserved his place. Just be happy that one of our players is making history.

I was wondering if there was any possibility of converting Albrighton to the Kante role? He works incredibly hard, and has good defensive qualities, with the ability to bring the ball forward from defence.

Better send your link to an Algerian forum. I am sure they care more about him over there.

Mahrez showed us loyalty, he hasn't been at his best, but the whole team is making up for the loss of Kante.
lgfualol Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 Should be in CL team of the season just for that free kick.
Wolfox Posted 16 September 2016 Posted 16 September 2016 Yeah didn't do a lot other score two goals one of which was a wonder goal... (Said with heavy sarcasm) id be happily repeating myself for the next 45 matches!!! Well done Riyadh!!!
