folks going before end

Recommended Posts

It seems the better we play the more folks leave early. Perhaps thy should only open gates after final  whistle  but I suppose that would be impossible due to health and safety

Perhaps people have lives outside football? Perhaps leaving a few minutes early saves them 30 minutes on the journey home? This argument really gets on my goat everytime it crops up.

Agree with above but what annoys me are people who park in the ground why leave early? To get to the front to wait another 30 mins before they actually let you out.

People have their reasons. Mine being my Dad can't be stood for too long in queues so he likes to leave on the 89th minute. Annoying for me but such is life!

Saves 20-30mins. If we are winning and I have something to do, I wait on the steps for the final whistle. If it's tight then I stay until the end. If I have a pass out I stay regardless.

i don't get on my high horse and judge anyone else. Those leaving today wernt storming out in disgust so wind your neck in OP.

Why does that annoy you? How does people going and sitting at the front of the queue negatively impact on your life?

I know there will be reasons , I don't get it to the extremes of thousands literally streaming out though!

Each to their own and they've paid yes, I just never will get it!

Just think if so many keep trying to steal a march on getting away that eventually people will be leaving before the game starts :P

All the people who went to get their half time pie on 37 minutes missed the first goal! Some people near me were also back late from half time, missing the first and second goals! It doesn't annoy me particularly, each to their own and all that, paid for your ticket blah blah  but I do find it even more baffling than leaving on 89 minutes. Do you need bad, expensive junk food and drink so much at 3.45pm that it's worth missing both Slimani's goals?

Ever heard of allowing people their own freedom and liberty mate?

if I want a pint il have one. Stop being a self righteous pr*ck

Maybe it's because people pay near on 800 a year to park in the club car park and if they don't leave 10 mins early the club locks them in and it adds almost 2 hours on to a journey?

If you don't know the situation of every single person leaving early, it's best not to pass comment really.

I agree that there are sometimes there are legitimate reasons and I've left early a couple of times (Charlton 2007 sticks out). But I can't agree with "they pay their money they take their choice". Be a bit considerate of others. I've done hospitality a couple of times and almost half of the people wander to their seats late, go in early at half time, wander back out on 50 minutes, and feck off on 80. Some people want to watch the game without standing up every 30 seconds.

I will leave before the end on certain games usually as soon as the board goes up for injury time depending on how the game goes.

Porto game I'll be leaving like that as I'm up at 0400 the next day and that's after an hours drive back to Peterborough. If I get stuck on traffic I may as well not to go bed before work!

As it happens I'm female, so that would be difficult. Last time I looked this is a forum so everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm not your 'mate' either. Don't be so rude.  I never said you couldn't have a pint and miss the goals, just that I didn't understand it.

And for the record the abbreviation of 'I will'  is I'll and sentences have capital letters :P

Your maths might be better than mine but I make that closer once every 22 minutes.

Who cares? they paid their money.

Think a lot of people do. I hate the whole row having to get up and having views blocked for a few selfish people going to halftime or full time early.

A better question would be why do people come so late to games and why do people (the same people) get up and down constantly???

Some People on my row were  late then went before half time out and then came back late and missed the second goal. Now that does piss me off

26 if you count half time.

Sorry.

I've reviewed my post and agree that my grammar could have been improved.

I can also confirm that it was non gender specific, so you being female wasn't an issue. But cheers for mentioning it, even though it's irrelevant.

I know you're not my mate. You never would be, it's a polite colloquialism that's considered to be non offensive ( unless you are an idiot).

My point stands. Who are you to criticise others for beating the rush when we are winning 3-0?. You are entitled to "not understand it", but I am entitled to tell you that you are being self righteous.

Because you ARE being self righteous.

(I hope my grammar is okay)

I do agree with this. If I go with my Dad, we also try to get end of the row seats. It really is annoying having to stand up every few minutes but this has been my experience for all my years of watching football, and it will never change, so yes we can all frown over it, but we all know it is just something that goes side by side with watching live games and always will be.
