Vardinio'sCat Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 I can't see him leaving, I think he'll see out his contract.
Adster Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 Got no problem with people leaving early if they have good reason too. What bugs me is the fvcking morons who get up and watch the last minutes of the game next to the exit block, blocking the views of us still in our seats. If you get out your seat early, you fvcking leave.

What's worst is when in the final minutes people leaving, something happens on the pitch and people just stop walking down the steps. Exactly this I have an aisle seat and this is my biggest bug bear about people leaving early I actually missed both goals either side of halftime yesterday due to people leaving early for food/drink and coming back late also on a very petty point and not that it really matters but I haven't seen a single kickoff yet at the start or halftime with having to move or having views blocked

But I do find it bewildering that folk do leave early from a game of football to "miss the traffic" Would you leave the flicks 10 minutes before the end for the same reason? Exactly normal people stop to the end and at a play concert or football show their appreciation. People leave football usually in disgust at a shocking performance and on this basis it has been a long time since anyone could justify leaving early . If you are not appreciative dont come easy

CORNFOX68 Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 In my case if i leave seat on 90 mins then stand if allowed in entrance or sit next to exit till final whistle goes, it knocks hour of my journey back to cornwall there are a lot of long distance city fans
Guest worth_the_wait Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 There are quite a few reasons why it's a good idea staying to the end of a match. Most of them are fairly obvious, so don't really need to be listed out. There may be some people who have a very good reason for leaving a match early. But I doubt 10,000 people could come up with a suitable excuse yesterday. Maybe I'm just old fashioned, but I thought the players' 2nd half performance deserved a standing ovation at the end. A couple of minor points though ... If you live in Glasgow, then you do probably need to leave the match a few minutes before the end to catch the last train back. Otherwise on a Saturday, you can stay to the end and get back to most other English cities - such as Newcastle or Plymouth. Re this point about living a long way away. I don't buy it. I used to live 150 miles away from Leicester, and it was a lot of trouble in terms of money and time to get to Leicester. Even more of a reason why I wasn't going to leave the game before the end! I had a 3 hour drive home, so an extra 15 minutes wasn't going to make any difference. And if you think that leaving the ground 5 minutes early saves you 30 minutes driving, then I think you're probably parking too close to the ground. If you park a little further away - say an extra 5-10 minutes walk, you can get into your car and drive straight off. I now live about 70 miles from Leicester, and leaving after ther match has ended ... makes no discernable difference to the overall journey (apart from a few minutes extra walk back to the car). Obviously, if you have limited mobility or health issues then the last point doesn't necessarily apply.

Leave 2 or 3 minutes early and you get straight out and away past viccy park in minutes. Leave with the masses and you'll be stuck in that area for atleast 30 minutes if not longer. Extends the journey far beyond the hour it should take. I just find it incredible that people get all high and mighty on something that had absolutely nothing to do with them. Worry about yourself.
CosbehFox Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 There's a commonsense approach to this. If you ever go to a tennis game or a cricket game, it is considered poor behaviour if you leave your seat whilst the ball is in play. When the ball is dead, the stewards then release you to your seats. If you want to leave early, you can do so but don't stop on the stairs or stand by the concourse entrance clogging up the exit.
Corky Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 Essential travel is the only reason to leave early for me, if there is no way of getting home unless you have to go a bit early then fair enough. But yesterday, if you left for a few more minutes in a pub or whatever, I don't understand it. The team deserved to be applauded for that effort by all who could've stayed.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 People have got to go to work etc. I leave a few minutes early to get my train and I couldn't care less what any one thinks about it. "You have blocked my view for half a second while you walk past me" It doesn't make me any less of a supporter. Also saying that the team deserve applauding is something that I'm 50/50 about. I enjoy watching the games but it sometimes gets to me when I think about the money they're on.
Guest Bob Hazels shorts Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 Never normally leave early but did yesterday as being picked up - home, turnaround and out again by 6.00pm Sure others will have similar reasons and do not need permission
Guest Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 Next.... on Foxestalk.... Should we swap the Kop and the Family Stand?

This - I've often stayed to applaud the lads but after waiting 15 mins to exit SK1; getting caught in FC charity car park for 45 mins due to parking at the wrong end of one way system (learnt that lesson quickly) + 30 mins queues to exit Leicester for 150 mile journey (where you can end up in 60/90 min motorway delays: ignoring those on journey to the match), I now leave as game moves into injury time for the "head start" so I can get back home before 9pm
boots60 Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 There were several games last season with decisive goals.in added time. I would have hated missing any of those moments just to give me a slightly quicker trip home. Just an opinion.

Guest worth_the_wait Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 I'd like to think we all agree, there are instances when some people have to leave a game early eg work commitments, special family do-s, catch last train home, health reasons etc. But for nearly everything else, I think we're completely at cross purposes. Most of the comments seem to be self-serving justification of how leaving early helps them get home a bit earlier. "If I leave the game 5 minutes early, I can get home 20 minutes earlier". or 30 minutes. or 40 minutes. whatever. What can I do to benefit ME ? This may sound really strange to some people ,,,, but when I go to support the City, I'm asking myself what can I do to help THEM? It's not about me, it's about the team, the club, the city. Within reason, I try and be as supportive as possible. Ok, I'm a bit older these days so can't jump up and down and scream like I used to. But I support the team, from the first second to the last. Why would I do anything else if I claim to be a fan? How can you claim to be fan but keep slinking off before the end, just to save yourself a few minutes travel time? You take the trouble (and expense) to turn up, and then ... potentially when the match is getting to the crucial bit ... off you go. It's actually, insane. Why bother turning up in the first place. Games like Norwich City last season were utterly forgettable for 99%, until the final minute. When Ulloa scored, and Leicester shook. It really is bad manners to the players trying their best. You wouldn't do it in a theatre, unless you thought the performance was absolutely lousy. and it's nothing to do with the size of the car park, or how many people are there, or how many minutes you might save. You're just trying to justofy, the un-justifiable. It's the principle. Not the minor practicalities. But ultimately ... it's supposed to be a free country ... so if saving those 20 or 30 minutes is really so important to you, then fair enough.

Yesterday we were 3-0 up and just grinding down the clock, hence why a lot of people made the decision to beat the crush and go. When you come out with crap like "Why bother turning up in the first place", you just make yourself sound a self righteous idiot.
sk1fox Posted 18 September 2016 Posted 18 September 2016 In that thoughts of swapping family stand with KOP ( SK1) Its a big no !! I Have sat in most areas in the ground , original season ticket holders in kop . SK2/3/4 I tried all of them for me and the lad. He talked me into the family stand right next to the away fans dont get me wrong fantastic , banter with them fantastic but|| We were moved due to his age not allowing us to sit there anymore , we were really fcuked off last season . We sat in A1 Block great view but nobody sings if you stand up well || everybody moans ?? We moved last season to SK1 AFTER Arsenal game and guess what we won the league lol. On A Serious note in SK1 we have something special all the fans sing and support the team, not saying other areas dont but to me wrong ts a bit lke old KOP SK2/3!!

Like people leaving early, goal music, sitting at away games and of course, who's a better fan?
