Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 I think he's off form, but to be fair the service is utterly woeful currently so he's only partially to blame. I've seen him skin a few on the left and then wing over dangerous crosses. He just needs the opportunity to do that a bit more centrally. The long ball over the top is now redundant for him. Teams are so wise to that now and are defending deeper.
Jimmy Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 well if we actually played the ball to him with some sort of aim which gave him half a chance, all to often Drinkwater just lumps it right now, its just typical of how we have started the season as a whole, trying to do what we did but not doing it in the same way

Feed him and he will score!!!! What was CRs nickanme for him in his autobiography? Radio willy puller?!! He needs to be tuned in when the passes come. I`ll get my coat...
Jimmy Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 what we really miss is someone in central midfield prepared to drive at the opposition with the ball, Kante's willingness to do that last season opened up so many passes for both him and Danny
GaelicFox Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 If you read his dire book you will pick up a constant trait ....insecurity he likes to be top dog and "the man" when he isn't he feels threatened the Cambiassio Pieces in the book show how Islam is probably effecting Vardy's position and thinking seen the best of Jamie I fear , and that's cool he helped win us the league

Csmbiasso thing was completely different he tried to be a captain and take over the squad, even out rank staff?
murphy Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 As much as I love Vards for his title winning exploits, if I were paying a 'penny for his thoughts' I would want change.
drofmor56 Posted 3 November 2016 Posted 3 November 2016 He made a terrific defensive header last night ,think it was from a corner around the 75th minute...perhaps we are playing him in the wrong position

Watch him and his body language ... he is the boss , just watch how Mahrez interacts with him I suppose it's how you read situations I just think Islam has put his nose out of joint
Tuna Posted 5 November 2016 Posted 5 November 2016 England squad announced tomorrow evening...he has a stinker against the Baggies and I reckon he could be out of the squad.
Doggy Posted 5 November 2016 Posted 5 November 2016 Is the rawness which makes Jamie Vardy an absolute nightmare to play against being coached out of him, The willingness to chase down defenders, chase lost causes etc, is definitely noticeable

Good, they don't play him and he comes back sulking. On the other hand watch out for Simpson and Drinkwater get a shout
Master Fox Posted 5 November 2016 Posted 5 November 2016 He's consistently been our worst player this season by a mile. He had one good game away at Brugge, but every other match he's been utterly abysmal. Should rightly be benched when Slim comes back.
Loves2spooge Posted 5 November 2016 Posted 5 November 2016 Note that I like vards and I think even when he doesn't score , he creates chances and provokes defenders and even goal keepers he's also a pro diver xD so just having him on the pitch is a great asset

Not much sign of it so far this season, but job done last.

filbertway Posted 5 November 2016 Posted 5 November 2016 Kind of annoying that we're tied to him on these astronimical wages for 3 or 4 years if he's decided he can't be arsed now. Didn't see the Spurs game, but his work for Musa's goal was nice. Against Copenhagen it was like Kramaric when he was played alone up front in a 4 5 1, so you can't knock him for that game. Looks slower and less aggressive to me this season. Which in total leaves him about the stadnard of a championship striker. Hopefully he regains his sharpness and hunger soon. The player we're paying these new wages to is not the same player than earned them.

If I said to you last Christmas give Vardy £20m and we will win the league , you would be one of the first hassling the owners to write him a cheque enough said !
