The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 Genuinely incredible how Trump has pulled this off, nobody politically will match this
Guest MattP Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 This will be the biggest political shock of all for me, he fought everyone and managed to win. Politics will never ever be the same again.
RedSoxUK Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 Will be astonomichal to win Michigan, as someone who has been to some of the smaller cities in Michigan within the last few years' it's intersting to see the opposite of what i felt while being there. Democrats were running scared a few nights ago when they all assembled in Michigan, guess that feared projection is happening. 5 minutes ago, Detroit Blues said: I want to get off of 2016s wild ride. I'm interested to hear your opinion on MI turning red.
Carl the Llama Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 America doing a Britain. Trump doing a Leicester. 2016 you're drunk go home.

He was no way near as much of an underdog as the polls / and publicised opinion made out to be. It's evident just how well a silent majority works with Brexit. Ohio and Michigan / how tight PA is, it just shows how well his campaign has targeted the rust belt with his rhetoric and actual policies and speeches as opposed to pointlessly backing Clinton just because she's not a Republican nominee. Nothing will compare to us but this? this is an amazing shock to those that eat up partisan media like it reflects the majority of American views.
MPH Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 He's got Wisconsin! That's absolutely huge. The blue wall fortress has been breached....

Where I live in white suburbia is 100% trump. Usually the cities if Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw, etc carries the state blue. One of the interesting things is she lost Michigan in the primary to Bernie, so maybe some of the Bernie supporters didn't vote for her? Trump pretty well killed Cruz and Rubio in Michigan.

I did feel the Bernie-like support while I was there, Battle Creek and Kalamazoo for your interest.
Guest MattP Posted 9 November 2016 Posted 9 November 2016 Why didn't I put money on the blue collar democratic states going red? I said it could happen. Never ever take your voters for granted.
