I'm sorry buddy but you visit any acute admissions psychiatric ward in the UK and see what "recreational drugs" do to our children , huge numbers of drug enduced psychiatric problems 

 

early anecdotal evidence suggest regular MDMA usage by young people has huge consequences later in life , remember the early regular mass users of MDMA are only reaching late 40's or early 50's and we are seeing dramatic issues with brain function.  

 

fags and drink I agree are massive issues but staying legalising drugs is a solution it's pure madness !

Obviously should be legalised. Pretty much every ecstasy death ever would have been prevented by the drug being available from a proper regulated market complete with education. 

 

As a former user I'm quite up to date on the long term effects and as far as I'm aware there's little evidence that moderate occasional usage does any more damage than a range of other common activities. 

 

Give people the knowledge and let them make their own decisions.

You need to read a bit more , I have been watching the effects of ecstasy abuse for last 20 years and it's not pretty viewing 

 

your point on moderation is valid but it's true of any drug moderation is key , problem is too many people don't understand moderation , go stand in town tonight between 12 and 4am and see effects of excessive drug use for yourself
