From what I read in Vardys book cambiasso was not an inspiration.

That's why it would've been wise for Vardy to wait with that book until his official retirement.

But I guess he just felt the urge to cash in on his popularity - or at least someone from his entourage felt that way. From a monetary perspective, absolutely understandable. I mean, it's not like he's already making £££.

From a moral point of view, a truly ****ed up move.

Yes if it was 2007. No in 2016/17.

Also, his game isnt about winning the ball which is what we lack. He is too old, too slow and hasnt the energy needed in position. Mendy was on the bench today, Ndidi has been linked. Lets think sensibly and not like we are playing Football Manager

Actually met him in the Highcross in the queue for Santa with his children and absolutely lovely fella.   Had a photo taken with me and then asked "If it was ok".  Was talking to him about the team and he was great.

He seems to know where the back of the net is though...

If we pull this off Ranieri is officially Peter Taylor Mk2

Don't remember Taylor winning the premier league.

I remember us being top for a while after Taylor took over, everyone thought he was a genius and future England manager. Then we lost to Wycombe in the cup and never won a game again until about 2005

We were top for a week!

We got battered by Man Utd at home the following week.

As it happens, there were a fair few City fans who voiced there concerns, even at the point of us being top of the table.

Taylor was quoted in the press saying he had received letters from fans not happy with him.

Joining backroom staff for Southgate and England.

Not sure he wants his Premier League legacy to end in a relegation battle with Leicester anyway.

I would retire and go into coaching, like it seems he is. No matter how good he was in his day, any 38 year old is going to struggle with the pace of the Premier League.
