In which of these positions do you feel we need to strengthen

Pretty poop when you can only pick one option. 

 

I've chosen rb. I think it has to be priority, Simpson is doggo and we need someone on that side to help take players away from mahrez, biggest influence in our football and he needs help. 

 

Others would be cb and cm. We need a cb who can play a pass and a cm who has the engine to work box to box. 

 

Maybe a new back up goalie too. Zieler is woeful. I don't think I saw him throw the ball to one of our players all night, just smash up the middle of the field all night smh.

I've gone for right back, CB, cdm and cam, imo were desperate for 1 in each position to the point I don't even think I could prioritise which 1 is needed the most

I've gone for CB, RB and both defensive and attacking midfielder. King and amartey are not good enough in either department at the moment and whilst I appreciate what king has done for this club, I don't think he consistently contributes enough to warrant a starting place.

Amartey is young and improving but still inconsistent. We are yet to see whether a settled Drinkwater and Mendy partnership could work in this bloody favoured 442.

 

From what we've seen so far though Mendy looks far better suited to attacking than defending, so hopefully ranieri is going to be buying the players which will be able to actually play and be confident in playing different systems. 

 

I know that the players 'prefer' to play 44 bloody 2 but it ain't frigging working is it?

 

cb for obvious reason, was's last season, maybe others as well  

 

RB because although Simpson is decent at defending he offers absolutely nothing going forward, which is one of the reasons we are not changing to a 352 or 433.

He will never be a wingback.

And doesn't offer enough to be a RB in 433.

And yet he's still better than Hernandez!  

 

Did last year even happen?

Really?! You mention how we need a RB to help Mahrez out going forwards, then imagine how open we will be at the back.

 

IMO Simpson has been the most consistent performer this season.

We've needed a quality centre back and quality defensive/ballwinning midfielder since the summer. Those two positions are priority.

 

Who voted RM/LM  We've got plenty of options out wide for once.

Simpson has been one of our most consistent players this season which is brilliant considering he has no cover in front of him.

Yup, doggo. It's pretty easy to be consistently doggo too. 

 

If we ever want to get away from the 4-4-2 we need a right back that can actually do something beyond standing with his hands behind his back in our own box. Has he ever even intentionally blocked a single cross with his back turned? Or played a half decent forward pass? 

 

He's footballing mediocrity wrapped in a woman beating shell.

I wouldn't say Simpson has been dogo nor do we need an attack minded upgrade.... that being said for as good as Simpson has been in the tackle and defensively he like Morgan and huth is scared of the ball, I personally would love a defensive minded rb who was also comfortable on the ball, same goes for the CB/CBs teams are letting us have the ball so much more at the back as they no that bar Fuchs the likelihood of any of the other 3 picking a pass is very unlikely, and if they do press us high up the pitch the panick is even worse

RB - So when Simpson can't play we actually have someone trained at RB to play RB

LB - If Chilwell isn't ready, I'm not sure Fuchs can manage every game anymore, a few recent performances have been sloppy.

CB - No explanation needed, Huth or Morgan are too old and slow with 0 protection 

CM - attacking or defensive I don't mind.

RB - Hernandez is probably more natural at CB, so cover for Simpson would be good.

 

CB - Little short on the ground here. 

 

CDM / CAM - Ndidi looks likely, so once we have him that will be the defensive midfield sorted. For me though we could probably do with another central midfielder but a creative type. Including Ndidi and the current midfield options, we will have 3 defensive midfielders and 2/3 centre midfielders. I feel we need some creativity in amongst there. King in CAM can be effective for us though.

I choose every position because on a whole we do. That doesn't mean what has been listed, It doesn't literally mean a whole new team.

 

Two new CB's, Strength and competition in LB/RB.

New CM's/Add strength and compeitition.

 

Wingers and Strikers we went made for in the summer, not really using them to full potential though, but new CM's might be the answer to that.

N'Didi is confirmed so that should address our biggest issue.

 

But we need two centrebacks, Huth and Morgan are ageing and it's showing. Neither can play the ball out of the back and that's not even being mitigated by being rock solid defensively anymore. 

 

Another winger, difficult to pinpoint the exact sort of winger we need but Albrighton on the left isn't working, Musa isn't going to cut it and Gray is overhyped but possibly may be the solution.

 

An upgrade on Shinji, he's been much improved this season but we need a more productive attacking midfielder/second striker. I think Adrien Silva was identified with this role in mind and he's probably what we need.

 

 

 

On the whole our summer transfer business was nothing short of diabolical, our record signing doesn't really fit, Musa looks out of his depth and Mendy may turn out to be ok but has picked up a worrying amount of injuries - we seem to be throwing money at our problems whereas our previous recruitment style was about finding undervalued players.

At least one centre half.

We need a midfielder who can actually make things happen from the centre of the pitch. We're overloaded with wide players but we have noone who can be creative from the centre. It would also help if they could score goals. We simply don't create enough or score enough from the central midfield areas.

Depends who we can manage to ship out as well.
