EGBFitness Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Sick of reading people say they are lifelong city fans but are that disappointed in the club they are basically going to protest at games. If you want to silent protest, turn your back during the game etc how about you do it at home where no body cares and allow fans to actually get behind the team! We are in a relegation battle and if fans cant support the club then we will go down! If your happy about that then your aren't a Leicester City fan so suggest you sit around and wait until CR gets his next job for a team to support. Deep down no one wanted CR to go and everyone will forever be grateful for his achievements. The guys a legend and deserves some appreciation but protesting against the club isn't the right way! no one is bigger than the club!
Guest bennytwohats Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Some people were far too happy to throw him under the bus. Your argument is thoroughly dismissive of what most of us are upset about. Im a LCFC fan. But Claudio at the helm has given us the best times in our history. The club owed him better. For him to be shown the door in these circumstances makes LCFC just that bit less loveable this morning. Them acting with integrity matters.
EGBFitness Posted 24 February 2017 Author Posted 24 February 2017 I agree that sacking felt the wrong way for him to go, especially when you read Ruskin sacked him who ultimately could hold responsibility for part of the failed season. We are 3/4 of the way through the season, we haven't scored in the league so far in 2017 and never looked like scoring, we are nailed on favourite to go down, embarrassing defeat in the FA Cup, the whole team looked a complete mess - border line Sunday League side with no direction/ leadership. To be 2 months away from the end of the season after such a poor campaign to only just have been left his position I think we have been more than fair on the basis that he never looked like turning it around.

Sir Shep Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Did Rudkin sack CR? If true, well that really takes the piss.

Ffs I thought we'd gone 48 hours without blaming Rudkin for something. Yes Rudkin forced his way into Top's office with a gun and forced him to sack Claudio against his will.

lcfcben76 Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Some nonce on radio Leicester last night stated that he started following lcfc last season due to Ranieri and the story and now there is "no chance" of him following city anymore. Exactly the type of person we dont need at the club. Went on to say that he didn't jump on the bandwagon
Fox92 Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Nobody is bigger than the club. Not Ranieri, not Walsh, not O'Neill, not Lineker.

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 I swear this is a copy and paste job from when NP got 'sacked' midway through the season last time

RowlattsFox Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Why are football fans obsessed with choices? As if you can't be a fan of Leicester City and Ranieri, or Pearson and Ranieri or Messi and Ronaldo.

There is an obvious divide between fans with a lot seemingly prepared to turn their back on the club, everyone needs to get behind the club right now ffs

Where are people saying they won't? You are driving a divisive narrative yourself. I have supported the club for 40 years. I think that they have made a mistake with this decision. I am sad and disappointed. I will be at the game on Monday cheering the team on. Stop causing trouble.

I cant be arsed to go rummaging through threads copying and pasting posts but was mentioned by a few earlier today. How am i I being divisive narrative myself? You can be upset about the manner of his sacking but still support the club.

People can express an opinion and still support the club. Everyone who wanted him gone has been entitled to their opinion and no one begrudges them that. I can say that I don't agree with the decision and still be a City fan on Monday, in 5 years or in 20 years. You've had your fun but let's stop with the 'you can't be in my gang' stuff.

Mate wtf are you going onabout!? Your not making any sense at all, be in my gang? If my gang is supporting the club then ok mate, would you like to join my gang? I think your missing the point, You can be dissappinted to see him leave but still support the club, it was the right decision and I back the club - others seem to have lost respect for the club and side with the sentimental value of supporting CR instead.
Chico1958 Posted 24 February 2017 Posted 24 February 2017 Sat in Spain absolutely gutted. But business is business and for the sake of the club it appears it's cheaper to get rid of Claudio than the player's. Hope they hang their heads in shame though.
