sylofox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I personally think from a playing point of view all our players should have a clean slate. CR had is views but they may not have suited all our players. Still most of our players were with us or targets under Shakey Walsh and NP. With Shakey now pulling all the strings we may see different players to what we have seen. So could we all give the likes of Musa Mendy and Slim a fresh start. Yes I maybe being a little optimistic here. But at the moment it seems doom and gloom.

DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 It's the "Old Guard" I blame. They have hardly led the new boys by example.
Treacle Fox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 They'll have a clean sheet for two matches. If they don't improve or get results it's gonna be an ugly end to the season with the fans turning on them and the players throwing in the towel.

We haven't got time to be giving players fresh starts, we need to start picking the right team. Which is an impossible task if all players are underperforming.
SecretPro Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Agree BUT A. Musa can GTFO, he's league 1 standard and a piss take financially B. Anyone thinking much will change personel wise under Shakey is deluded, I definitely wouldn't want Shakey for the remainder - the players would run rings round him, he's too chummy with them and therefore the shakeup that the starting 11 so badly needs is unlikely to happen. The job needs a completely fresh pair of eyes, without bias. Someone who can come in and tell Morgan to **** off, strip him of the armband and say 'mate, if you want to play, you need to show me you are capable first'

By all accounts the players have snaked our greatest ever manager and dragged us into the relegation zone. If they don't buck things up quickly it's going to get very toxic. And then we genuinely will be doomed.

J.Lisemore Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Slimani and probably Mendy yeah, but Musa? Absolutely not. Josh Low was better than him.

His tactics, his selections, his subs all consistently wrong this season. The players he signed have not been good enough and have not improved the team. Even if they have gone to the owners. So what. If there was something wrong with me at work I'd go to someone high to have a word.

I will say this once.... if his tactics were that shit, then why didn't they play the way THEY wanted to rather than play shit. They chose to play the way they did. King's look of despair when Vardy scored that goal against Sevilla was a "oh, you bothered to turn up tonight then?"- THERE IS YOUR REAL CLUB CAPTAIN, RIGHT THERE. And when the Birch retires, I hope Kingy will be given a job for life.
brucey Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 I agree, clean slate. When the players were clearly under odd instructions, I don't think it's fair to judge them.

The players - or particular players - were shit all season yet still got in the team. What's that say? Why should they try harder or do more when they still get picked regardless?

Or you believe shite published in the Sun? Because every player so far has said nothing like that happened. Ranieri was at the training ground for more than half an hour this morning so their relationship couldn't have been that bad. Just accept that Ranieri fvcked up this season.

They have been absolutely ****ing diabolical apart from that one match that they turned up at Sevilla. I take it with your 30k posts that you are a season ticket holder- I won't insult you to ask if you have had your head in the sand. Sacking Ranieri is the only way forward- but the players are to blame ala Chelsea last season.

whitwickfox Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Musa may not be good enough for the premiership he may not have the skills, he may not have anything, but he didn't put his price tag on the market, and he certainly didn't ask to come here before we showed very poor judgement wanting him.its not his fault, just get off his back and leave him alone. Sure he will be gone at the end of the season but until then for Christ sake leave him alone.
Marvin Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Getting back to the original point, yes I think a clean slate is called for. Bearing in mind the team looked buggered at Hull in August, it must have been difficult for the new players to perform to their best. Even Musa deserves a fresh start in my opinion.

Claudio got things wrong, but it's the ****ing dreadful attitude of those twats that has us here. 2 hours ago, st albans fox said: You believe that the moon is also made of cream cheese ?? dont believe everything you read doc ! Monsell1976 Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 This dream has been great and I don't want to wake up, it's turning into a nightmare, but the dream is not over. Negative attitude, attracts negative outcome, we need to move on and start getting a positive feeling around the place, so I agree sylofox, clean slate and let's get behind the club, end this negative, shit season on a high
brucey Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 What annoys me most about the timing of the sacking is that we've lost the chance to give Hernandez a clean slate in his preferred position. Wonder how he's doing at Malaga.
cityfanlee23 Posted 25 February 2017 Posted 25 February 2017 Gonna say this publicly, We can't afford to give Musa a chance until we have survived, but he WILL be a good player for us if he sticks around and gets a chance as a on the shoulder striker in a team that actually supplies. Musa will be good.
sylofox Posted 25 February 2017 Author Posted 25 February 2017 I personally think it's harsh to judge new players when the old players around them have been sh1t all season. The new players must have been full of confidence going out for a match. And no I do not believe everything I read but I do believe my own eyes. It's been obvious for a few months something was wrong.
