Not sure if you got the details but as part as a new security measure I'm detailed with changing everybody's site passwords. Image rights are restricted by HMRC to 20% of a players total package as they are paid to a company and subject to a lower rate of tax than if they were all paid directly as a salary to the player through PAYE. So if we, for instance, are offering him £100k a week then £1m of his £5m a year salary will relate to his image rights. A 4 or 5 year contract will therefore include £4m or £5m of image rights that the agent will want their cut of. what would that be? 10 or 20%? Those amounts should not be insurmountable in terms of paying the former agents off and getting this deal done.
