The contrast between our main two clubs couldn’t be more different right now. 26,000 full house, could’ve been 30k tbh. Absolutely dominating their local rivals who are a very very good team by the way. With a bunch of mainly homegrown academy players. It’s brilliant.

Exeters win today v Bath & our win yesterday has certainly blown the top 4 up a bit, even Sarries have a chance of 4th all be it slim.

Whilst we are only 1 point behind Bath & 5 behind Northampton, Bath have Newcastle next so there’s a banked 5pts, Northampton have a trickier tie v Bristol but it’s at home so you probably have them as favourites.
We need to ensure we don’t blow yesterday’s performance with a poor show at Sale, 2nd could go down to the last game of the season away to Bath.

Wowzer Saints v Bristol was 61:14 at HT currently 80:21 with 25 minutes still to play that’s unbelievable against Bristol, just goes to show how well Tigers did last week.

Jeez it finished 94:33 (14T:5T) that was unbelievable, yes against Newcastle perhaps but not Bristol, our game must have stung them.

That is what they can do and that’s why I still have them to win the final

Harlequins beating Exeter is a good result for us

Hope we will get a good result against Sale away

playoffs secured!

Yep but made harder work of that win than they should.

It’s now all out to get 5 pts v Exeter so we go into the last game with a win to jump Bath as home advantage will be important when facing them in PO, it’ll also ensure they don’t rest anyone for the PO also we won’t be able to either.

Thought their try which began to close the gap was a forward offload

that last league game at bath is so interesting. If both clubs are secure then what approach do you take ?  As you say, home advantage is massive

I think both clubs have to go for it to get that home advantage & despite being a point behind we are probably in the driving seat going into that last game.

Bath play Bristol away who will be smarting from the humiliation v Saints & it’s a must win to stay in the running.

We have Exeter at home & whilst they can turn it on in games they also go missing in others and with us at home and in high spirits we should have enough to get a BP win.

Sarries are at home to Quins you’d expect them to win there but hopefully that should also drive Bristol on.

If Bath do lose without getting a BP and we get all 5 we go into that last game 4 ahead which gives us a little wiggle room in how many points we need, we could lose but 1 or 2 BPs could gets us 2nd.

Cant see either team resting anyone, got to hope O’Conners hamstrings settle in 2 weeks or ideally Billy’s do & we can’t afford to lose Bailey now.

Good win for Bristol v Bath after recant bad defeats .

They'll enjoy that. I live up the road from Ashton Gate and it sounded very lively this evening! Certainly more noise than most Bristol City home games!

Bath lose at Bristol

opens the door for us to take 2nd and home semi if we can win there next weekend

in the meantime we need to beat Exeter on Sunday to be sure of qualifying

I am sure we already have qualified but yes still doesn’t take away the fact we need to win at Bath to get that home semi final.

If we lost both games without a bonus point then Saracens could catch us with two bonus points wins

We are deffo in top four.  Sarries play Exeter next week so can’t both win.

I knew I should have gone the extra mile to check that 😄

is there any chance we rest a few tomorrow on the basis that we put all our chips into winning at bath to get the home semi against them (or if the chiefs win both their games then they could finish 3rd).  If we lose at bath then we’d be away there or at Northampton. either way, it’s a tough gig.

Team is out. Full strength again. The two Bath games coming up will be proper battles. Just hoping we beat them next week so the club and City centre get a full house home semi and can make some money.
