Tigers signed Hamish Watson on a short term cover contract.

He’s 34 now but he was some player just a few years ago & certainly 1 of the few that would turn up for SCO games, often getting their player of the match.

Ex-Tiger actually played in the academy up till he was 18 as he went to school in Rutland until moving north of the border.

Very Tommy Reffell esq

Not sure what's happened to him over the last couple of seasons.

He's struggled to get game time at Edinburgh and fell out of favour with Townsend.

I wonder if he's played too much rugby and his body has given up.

Yeah could be, as well as age creeping up on us all he was very much an ALL in player like Tommy Ref, Underhill, Curry and dare I saw the goat Moody it must take its toll at some point. I doubt we’ll see much of him but a decent cover option & nice for him personally to go full circle in his career.

The club seem to be doing really well at the moment which is impressive given the amount of ‘stars’ they’ve lost over the past two seasons. Parling seems to be a very good coach right?

Prop repacements for next season, Argentine Joel Sclavi arriving from La Rochelle should be a great addition & more surprisingly Mako Vunipola (i know i'd thought he'd retired long since also), not sure about this as he'll be 36 midway through next season & arriving from a French D2 side. Can only assume its for the last 20-25min finishing a game out with his experience.
Looking forward to seeing Wainwright in Tigers colours after his MoTM performance v Italy.
Also signed ex-Bath Forward Elliot Stooke

Went last week and yesterday.  Sad, to say but their facilities, from catering to bars to live bands puts the football club that is KP to shame.

On the pitch their players showed more fight more passion more aggression than our sorry lot.

Found out a 16 game season ticket costs as little as £180.

What's not to like.  Bring it on next season.

The couple of times I’ve been ‘the plaza’ has been great. Live bands, loads of food stalls, the players doing a walk through of the crowd before the game. Really enjoyable experience and you get to see a bunch of players proud to represent our city!

They make way more an effort than city do. Also sponsored by a lot of local companies. Players aren't complete arseholes either. A lot more to like than city at the moment.

Tigers would be daft not to use this moment to really rebuild their presence in the city and county. Especially with womens rugby growing too.

Got some free tickets to sundays game so I stuck some bootleg jeans, brown shoes and a gilet on and went down. Had a good time to be fair.

Were you there for Josh Navidi's DJ set?
