The fact he will resign is irrelevant.

You're complaining because you don't know in advance what Burnham is offering. you're the one that needs to wait.

Why should the public be subjected to this political theatre?

Starmer has done the unthinkable with changing terror laws, compromising the judiciary, and setting the framework of ending legitimate freedom of speech. Not bad for a human rights lawyer.

Burnham can now come in and say it was nothing to do with him.

It's almost like this was the plan all along. Labour Friends of Israel have currently got our politicians, media, police, judges, GMC completely by the balls and no one seems to bat an eyelid.

I think a PM resigning would be relevent, what has Burnham got, that has alot of MPs siding with him, this has been built up for a while.

This is a fairer question.

He's done a really good job as mayor of Manchester and apparently he's very, very popular in the north as a result.

Some of that is through more left wing ideas (ie traditional labour) than we've seen from starmar and co - for example really successfully bringing buses under council control.

In his bi-election campaign he has talked a lot about needing to get cost of living under control, citing a 23% increase in water bills at a time when water companies are failing. He's talking about renationalising infrastructure like water, rail etc.

You will see the right wing rags attack him mercilessly for that because the money behind them quite likes making lots of money from public services without doing anything to maintain or improve them.

Starmer to Burnham…like sacking Pooper and turning to Ruud.

Find it astonishing that some think he has done an OKish job.

Fastest growth in the G7.

NHS waiting times rapidly improving.

Immigration hugely down, while emigration is also down, and small boats also massively down, for those that care about the that kind of thing.

The only one of him, badenoch and Farage to not want to join the Americans in Iran. We'd have been at war under Tory or reform rule.

Across lots of other areas they're making decent progress based on evidence and expertise. It isn't, however, getting communicated to the public which is a huge failure.

On the other side, employment/unemployment figures aren't great. Small business is having a hard time and they haven't imo done enough to alleviate that (Burnham is talking about taking pubs, high street businesses out of business rates altogether by expecting a bit more from big business).

There's pros and cons like any government but what I would say after 14 years of the Tories, is that there's been a lot of noise about the handful of things that aren't so good, whereas with the Tories literally everything was a dumpster fire.

Given starmar can't in to an utterly broken country, with the public as divided as we ever have been, trump and his tariffs followed by trump and Iran, he's had a crappy hand and done pretty well. Unfortunately his negatives are the only thing getting any air time

That's because all your news (or perhaps that should be information) sources refuse to report anything good he's done, which feeds into your confirmation biases.

You know that do you?
