Watch us get Man City next round lol

Really doesn't matter when we meet them, we will need to beat them to win the cup.

Not necessarily they might go out before we meet them who knows... it is better to allow someone else to have the problem until we have to solve it, because someone might just do us a favour

For me personally I would like beat the best & own it.   Hoping that another team will remove ManC so that we are able to win doesn't work for me.

Pretty disgusting behaviour from Masuaku spitting on the Wigan player.

Yeah I agree with Dion Dublin, that’s the lowest of the low. Still a young lad but needs that sort of thing taking out of his game

Sounds like a Gillette razor

On his way to Sheffield Utd during the transfer window.

Should provide the cutting edge that the Blades need.

I guess MoTD are saving the best till last again

We did disgrace the cup in fairness

Played a ‘weakened team’ against lower league opposition and dicked them. No magic of the cup story there

I suppose so, you know playing a European cup winner, a few of a PL winning team and adding some youth is just undermining the cup lol

Noticed the players were requesting VAR by drawing an imaginary screen as the ref does, when you add this to the waving of imaginary cards, tripping over limbs that aren't there and re-enacting elbows and headbutts through mime it's turning into a 22 man Marcel Marceau convention or a game of charades, "What was that, number six has elbowed you, it deserves a card and you want the ref to use VAR? Or is it a six word TV show with elbow or arm on the title?"

A fair amount of the delays tonight were hindered by the players getting involved, whether it's to be expected in the heat of the moment or whether it will settle down when it's no longer new to them and they come to expect the reviews we'll have to wait and see. It's like when a linesman flags for a penalty or after a goal and everyone runs over and gets in his face, you're not going to change his opinion of what he saw, just let the ref speak to him and minimise the delays.

Anyone else hearing this from Danny Murphy? What a bellend

The fact that we’ve signed Diabate means Mahrez is on his way out. And then he says ‘sorry to say that Leicester fans’ as if he’s in the know and he hasn’t just made that scenario up

Would be very frustrated in being a Liverpool fan and seeing their team's calamitous defending continue, despite apparently paying £75m for "one of the best defenders in the world".

So... does a few top 6 teams dropping out of the cup help or hinder our chances of getting Europa? I can't decide whether or not to cheer them on.

Negligibly hurts. The current chance of a top 7 club (including us) winning the cup is 90% based on Skybet odds. So route against the big guys because that helps us win the cup.

For that number to drop below 50%, it would take only 1 of the 4 clubs in the semis being in the top 7. And we shouldn't worry until Pablo Zabaleta is sent off. And we wouldn't be screwed until Ben Watson scores.
