The only way Durrant doesn't win this is if his head is already at the PDC, still piled a fair bit on at 11/8

Couple of quid on Wolfie at 40/1 just out of tradition.

Lorraine Winstanley to shock Ashton in the womens.

This is nowhere near as bad as people love to make out on social media. Quite looking forward to it in all honesty.

No, but it's a long way off the PDC.

This getting its own thread, good lad @everton carr

Surprised to see Noppert didn't actually qualify outright so they've given him a wildcard.

Durrant is a class act so I'd like to see him win again. The player to watch though has to be Cameron Menzies, after his antics at the Grand Slam, for the sake of this tournament I hope he has a good run.

Montgomery vs Waites

Mitchell vs Labanauskas

McGeeney vs Adams

Hopefully those three matches deliver in R1.

Without question, I think the average from last year's winner was 93 (correct me if I'm wrong) whilst Taylor threw 102 in losing on Monday. But I quite enjoy it. Though not to the extent of the Ally Pally.

The BDO is just a stepping stone to the PDC which is obviously where everyone wants to be. Still, people slating the BDO try and play darts yourself and you'll realise these people are good darts players. We all know it's nowhere near the level of PDC but it simply doesn't have the backing of the PDC. BDO used to be good in the 90's on the BBC.

I like it when they've thrown 39 darts each and are both on double 1.

It gives me hope that I can 1 day turn professional [emoji106]
When did that happen?
Every year probably. I can remember a few like that. Not sure it went to 40 darts though.
Anyone remember Tony Fleet from a few years ago. Nervous? Drunk? Or both? You decide.

I don't think people slate it any differently to how League 2 gets compared with the Premier League.

Bert is spot on. And as bad as the BDO can be without it you don’t have a PDC, look at how many of the PDC players started in the BDO, and in all honesty there aren’t that many that have been successful in both.
