They've definitely got the King Richard. Didn't know about them having the Crows Nest.

Butchered the King Richard too. Although in fairness Everards did that years ago.

Is it the same team who has the King Richard and Crow’s next there?

The Nags Head in Glenfield too. All ran in exactly the same boilerplate chavvy Karaoke way

Nearly all the local pubs near me are using AI posters for whatever they’ve got going on that weekend. I get it’s easy for them to make a tidy looking poster but if anything it puts me off more than tempts me in.

It always amused me when pubs have a sign outside saying they have Carling, John Smith, and Strongbow.

Err ... You and everyone else.

The Peel has a new landlord in.

Does anyone know the latest happenings with The Western?

Heard on the grapevine that Everards want to sell it :(

Was hoping it could be taken over and returned to being a decent local. I suspect it will be turned into something else. Strong chance Jamie Lewis buys it.

Got a midweek route planned for a few weeks time of The Peel, Nine Bar, Foresters and The Cherry Tree.

Did this but threw in Duffy’s as a start point.

Duffy’s feels like it is doing well, it has a loyal local alternative music scene really making it it’s home.

Hopefully no HUSBAND CRECHE signage appearing anytime soon then

Jordan Stewart hung the cross and the number 27 heads it home at the back post.

How was the Peel? Keep meaning to go in.

Heard better news about the Western and sounds like it will still be a pub. No other details though.

Peel was decent. New fella there was nice and he was welcoming. Do like the pub feel of the place, Everards not yet ‘modernised’ it.

Western we spotted was shut. Pleased it will remain a pub.

The peel is the only proper pub anywhere near the ground now surely

It's a Cat A mate, good luck finding one that isn't showing it.

Haha, you being serious on loads showing it though? 3pm so thought it might be difficult to find one.

Went to two tailed lion after game where staff are always superb. Unfortunately getting anything on keg there is difficult at the moment.

Pubs were generally a lot quieter than other match days. Had a curry on London Road and it was so busy, mainly full of Muslim families enjoying themselves. The city’s demographic means pubs will not last here.
