Looking forward to an afternoon on the beers in Farringdon on Tuesday. What are your top 3 round there? Hoping to get to the Sutton Arms again. Craft Beer Co was decent last time too

Reckon @bovril and @grobyfox1990 will pop up with a few great shouts n all mert but agreed on the Craft Beer Co there, really solid gaff. Sutton Arms is GOATed, have you been to the Hand and Shears? Not gonna get anything mind blowing beer wise but really interesting building. Three Compasses next to the station does a great sarnie and Harvey's Best but can smell a bit like frying. I like the choice in the Farringdon Tap but no cask and the Olde Mitre is always ****ing heaving

If you're after something a bit different there's a great little bar called The Dovetail that specialises in Belgian beers and has a phenomenal draft choice at outrageously good value considering the beer and location

Not done Hand and Shears. Yeah, Ye Olde Mitre is always way too busy and can feel a bit touristy. Done Farringdon Tap and thought it was decent, but in these winter months I'l be craving some cask! Also easier on the wallet for us midlands peasants.

Holy Tavern might be worth a look too mate, I've been a few times and had some average bevs but also some good bevs! But it's a quirky gaff

It's not Farringdon but definitely mentioned it in here, Queens Head on Acton St near Kings Cross is phenomenal, not been for a year or so but Redemption Trinity was £3.60 on my last visit which wasn't a special price either

Was just going to mention Jerusalem/ Holy Tavern. Is it still St Peter's brewery?

Think it stopped being St Peters then/when they changed the name brother. Last time I went they still had some of their beers in though

I always liked it there. The ales were very aley, no juicy pales.

Out around King's Cross yesterday evening after work's Christmas do. Scottish Stores, King Charles and a new'un ticked off with Mabel's Tavern.

Crunchy peanut butter stout from Hammerton brewery at the King Charles was the pick. Love that place but never seen it so rammed.

Harvey's Best in the Duke, she's heaving, pint number 9 baby

The best brewery in England for me. The worst thing about relegation is no Brighton away and no John Harvey tavern

Will tailor experiences in the last pint thread specifically for you from here in on mate, thanks for the notice.

Thanks. If you can recommend some Horsforth/Bristol/ Ellesmere Port/ Rochdale/Welwyn Garden City/Letchworth/Bury St Edmunds ones that will be much appreciated. I just don’t care for London.

Why are you looking for Horsforth/Bristol/ Ellesmere Port/ Rochdale/Welwyn Garden City/Letchworth/Bury St Edmunds. Spend your money in our city.

I just hate London.

Don't think I'll be far off that tonight. Off up to Farsley.

All these people drinking round Kings Cross need to start shopping in Judd Books, best bookshop in England

It's very good for remaindered books imported from the US. Does it beat the top Waterstones or Foyles? Not sure, but certainly the best value

Maybe best is hyperbole but definitely my favourite just because you go in never knowing what you're going to find. And then walk out with copies of some obscure early Joseph Roth novel and a Yale history of gardening during the English civil war.

You find London boring? There’s something for everyone. As the famous whoever said - when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life
