Milk only for me.

I don’t get down much these days and if I do it’s a last minute dash because a mate can’t go. So nothing before and I’ll have a bourbon/single malt whiskey or brandy when I get home.

These days it's a cup of tea before the game. Cup of tea at half time. Cup of tea at full time.

I like tea.

A few pints of cider then usually a double just before the walk to the ground.

Drive up, so water before, water at half time (or hot chocolate on Champions League nights) and then water after.

Bottled or flask?

Honestly turn up sober and drive home.

Tried the drinking pre match and I end up pissed by half time, in the bogs pissing my way through the second half after uncorking and falling asleep as soon as I get home. I see no positives in daytime drinking these days.

if I'm driving then it's usually a few beers before and during the journey

then when I get to the match, nothing.

Abit random but just wondering what people drink before a game and after.

I drink the blood of the opposition mainly but sometimes coffee.

In all seriousness a few pints or maybe move onto the gin. I spent the first 40 minutes of West Brom wondering if I could get away with sleeping on the 4 empty seats next to me.

I drink nothing before a game so as to avoid 1st half bladder issues or the need to leave my seat at H/T.

I've considered asking my neighbour for a sip from his flask at H/T, but it seems a bit forward - though the lady on the other side gives me Murray mints. Instead I enjoy watching Birch shout "Come on, Titch!" at schoolboy relay racers.

I drink nothing during the 2nd half or after the game. Instead, I go home.

To think that once I'd have thought nothing of downing a bottle of whiskey in a cinema or waking up in the cells after a Saturday night. How times have changed.

Do you think I need to lively up myself?

Should I buy some casual clothing, get coked up before the next match and shank a few Geordies after the final whistle?

I probably wouldn’t go that extreme Alf tbh.

I try to stick to 2 beers whilst watching the last hour or so of the televised game in the Kings Head pre match, when it becomes 3 or 4 I know it'll be uncomfortable holding out for a half time Pee. It can also lead to the verbal tirade I gave to Begovic when Mahrez scored v Bournemouth for which I can only apologise again to the Women and children (but not Begovic the timewasting ****ing, cheating, ****, serves him ****ing right the ****ing ****). Afterwards 3 or 4 more before the train & bus home, easier if we've won, still trying to find a really decent post match pub where people want to talk about the game and watch the TV game.

Considered introducing a "treat" system, for example a spirit or two to celebrate a win or one per goal but remembered Germany v England from years ago. I was due at a wedding reception and as I didn't want to be playing catch up had some beers at home and said I'll have a double Whiskey if England score a goal. The night they scored five. The 3rd, 4th and 5th were very generous doubles (self measured). I vaguely remember following the bride and groom out of the venue through an applauding guard of honour whilst singing "Oranges and Lemons, the bells of saint clements", standing on a slice of cucumber near the buffet and going arse over head in installments, then inheriting the early leaving vicars table place - name card and all, which unwittingly lead fellow latecomers into believing the great bishop of Ely has strong views on the offside laws, Whiskey breath and is a little eccentric. Poor guys reputation took a hit that night!

Therefore a little reluctant for such a system, other than a strict policy of downing a bottle of Cava in one whenever we win the Premier League, maybe consider a post match curry for a change. End of season curry? A yess we've finished 7th Curry? A yess we've relegated West Ham, Brady you're fired you b**** curry?
