He goes down as a legend to me as, contrary to what the media troll out ( and some of our fans) about us being worked out, if he'd have stayed we'd have come close to winning it again. That's how perfect we were, all replacements including Ndidi haven't come close. He didn't just win it and give it ( like Ndidi) , he scampered forwards for 25 yards quickly then gave it to Mahrez or Albrighton where they're dangerous, in the last third. Our wingers now receive it too far back too often if at all these days.

Absolutely spot on. It was Kante who actually got us attacking further up the pitch. Mahrez has looked generally a shadow of the player he did when playing in the same side as kante

The best player I’ve seen.

Gone at Jan in that season but persuaded to stay on. Barely stood for whole trophy photo shoot.

Not a legend but I will always love him and miss him.

Really?

Never heard that before

Him, Mahrez and Vardy (considering all of them were purchased very cheaply in the transfer market) shouod be comsidered as amkmgst the best the club has ever had and see them as better overall compared to the legends from across the past generations.

This.

a ball carrying midfielder is the main thing missing, not just a midfielder whos happy to pass it too early in the attack.

An awesome amazing player love him to bits and would love it if he came back here.

In my eyes LCFC Legend, no.

We all know what you have your eyes set on, Suzie...

This is about spot on.

Bringing the ball out over 10-15 yards enabled our front 3 to get on one on one situations.

Defenders backed away and basically shit themselves.

When he went our forwards received the ball far too deep.

He has been the clubs biggest gain and loss in equal measures.

The team that won the league was legendary, that doesn’t mean every player in it was a legend.

Kante is unquestionably one of the best midfielders we’ve ever had, but ability alone doesn’t make you a legend.

No Leicester legend would leave for a club that finished 10 places below us. No legend would break up the best team in the league for their own personal reasons. Legends put the club first. I’m not saying Kante owed us anything but he didn’t complete the journey with us. He was a big part in creating that team, but he was the biggest factor in it being destroyed.

Ranieri wouldn’t have needed to replace him and find a way to play without him, we could have evolved our style at our own pace not having it forced upon us. If he had given us one more season who knows where we would have been but I like to think Ranieri would still be in charge and Kante would have had a heroes send off last summer.

Great player: Yes

Key part of legendary team: Yes

Legend: No

Most players will leave for more money and the chance to play for a bigger club.

Not to mention Chelsea being in the capital also helps.

If the offers would have come in, the likes of Walsh would have moved on years ago as well.

Leicester are Leicester in most people's eyes - just had a magical season and we're now crawling back under our rock.

It's up to the club and our fans how big we want to be, but we'll never be as appealing as the big clubs of London and the North West.

totally agree. He was a very good player for us no doubt. If he stuck around for 3 years as he should have done then maybe he could have that honour. Vardy is heading in the legend direction along with the club captain in my view. But both are a fair way behind Walsh and Elliot
