Today is the 2nd anniversary of when Leicester City managed to do the impossible:

Winning Premier League against the odds of 5000/1

There's no doubt that Kanté is a fantastic footballer and was a cornerstone for LCFC making the greatest achivement in our history.

But the other hand, Kanté ditched us after just 1 season.

The likes of Vardy, Mahrez, Kasper etc. have stayed with us and delivered for several seasons at LCFC.

What's your thoughts about it?

He was one of the key components of our league-winning team. He's a magnificent player. We can count ourselves lucky that he had his one season with us at the same time as everything else fell into place to bring us the ultimate success. Of course he's a City legend.

131 Years to win our first top flight title ......I think all involved players and management will be LCFC legends and rightly so.......no brainer tbh

Would you consider Cambiasso a City legend? If so, then Kante certainly qualifies.

No, he was a wonderful footballer with an impressive career and he did well for us but no way could he be considered a Leicester legend.

Undecided on Kante, the title winners are all legends really and he was major component of us doing it. Never seemed to have much of an affinity with the fans but he does seem a shy person. Can’t blame him for leaving even though it was disappointing

Probably one of the best players to play for Leicester.

And as @The_77 says most would have Cambiasso as one....

Agree - longevity shouldn't come into it when it was such a miraculous achievement. Genuinely unique talent and was a joy to watch.

We had a thread last year on "How do you define a Leicester legend?"

For some reason I've got a bug up my arse about how this term is thrown around like confetti these days. I know some people think that the entire PL winning squad are Leicester legends but I struggle to put Nathan Dyer in the same bracket as Walshie, Muzzy or Vardy.

Kante was/is a great player and he was remarkable for us for a season. But a club legend? No, not for me.

No.

He played over 300 games for Inter over a 10 year period. He's an Inter Milan legend, but not a Leicester one IMHO.
