Provided he shows more consistency, I'm fairly certain he can. Right wing, instead of Sterling. No matter how much the latter improved, Mahrez is still streets ahead when it comes to vision, skills and passing.

He’s too ****ing lazy for Pep.

Can't hardly remember a flair player plowing the field. Not their game and there are plenty of other players for that.

I do however expect a real influence on the game translated by goals, assists and chances created, and maybe a nut meg or two as icing on the cake.

He absolutely failed at that the last 6-7 games with the last two where we might as well played with 10 men.

He doesn't deserve his place in the team right now  and he shouldn't start either of the last 2 games. Frankly I'll be glad to see the back of his want away sulky antics every window, it must have unsettled the squad when he went on strike then waltzed straight back into the team what ever they players say publicly, anyone would be pissed off at that, it is in the best interests of the future of Leicester City to sell him.

He shouldn’t be playing because he understandably isn’t giving 100%

would you risk your dream move putting in tackles playing what are now meaningless fixtures? Any full back up against him only has to make one strong challenge and that’s him mentally out of the game.

Look what has happened to some players these past few weeks - world cups and big moves ruined ...... Puel shouldn’t be selecting him

Correct.

I called this in January and it’s another indication of Puel’s incompetence.

Team spirit and morale majorly upset as Claude’s French speaking chum gets half a game punishment after upsetting the other players and taking the piss out of the club and fans also.

I think I said I’d be surprised if we won another game after that episode; and the chickens have come home to roost.

Puel is a really thick bastard if he doesn’t know the dynamics of the dressing room and man management.

.....Mahrez at his best is a joy to watch and probably the best player ever to wear the shirt!!!

The reason why Kante get all the love is that he has been true to the club and himself. He did not particularly want to come to Leicester but as we were the only offer left on the table for him at the time, he signed the deal. The rest as you know is history, Mahrez won player of the year that year although many thought it should have been Kante but he went on to win the league with Chelsea and justifiably Player of the year. Kante was not in love with the club but he gave 100% every time he played, going to Chelsea was the next step when the opportunity came about.

The POTY-voting ended in January 2016.

Unfortunately for Kanté, he was criminally underrated at the time when people used to think that Leicester were carried by Vardy & Mahrez.

At least, Kanté got recognition by Leicester fans who actually saw his contributions week in and week out for the club.

One of the best players ever to play for City

But I’m sick of him pissing about

Get him out in the summer and re-invest.

Mahrez has no pens because he was so bad when he used to take them. His percentage recently was one of the worst in the history of football. His penalties COST us points and cup progression.

I'll agree with your statement about Mahrez being a clown. ;)

The rest of your post was just you knocking Vardy and ignoring other players to try and make Mahrez sound not as bad as he is. You seem to think every point is won for us by Mahrez alone and every point lost is due to the rest of the team.

If we had a team of Kasper and 10 Mahrez we would be hammered every week. I'd take a team of Kasper and 10 Vardy or Kasper and 10 Maguire and many other options over a team full of Mahrez.

You should perhaps realise that Mahrez plays (well sometimes) in a team. That team wins or losses the game.

Yes, that is exactly what I'm doing. I have an agenda against him and somehow I managed to affect his goals to point ratio. I've pointed nothing but the truth. Those are his numbers and I didn't make them up. You go on and on about consistency but guess what, they (Mahrez and Vardy) both contributed to 18 goals+assists.

When did I ever say that? You can go ahead and quote me on that and I'm ready to apologize on the spot.

The fact of the matter is there are plenty of creative wide players in this country that are better than Mahrez but you can count the better strikers than Jamie Vardy on one hand.

Define better? Better at being Mahrez? And last I heard we were on about spending 150 odd million this summer so what's not in our price bracket? To pretty much any footballer we'd be more attractive than 13 other teams in this league because the others simply aren't willing to pay the wages that we can offer so I'm not worried about players not wanting to join us.

Putting a shift in an playing for the team and even plunging for tackles and isn't afraid of contact. Pretty nice half

Needs to get himself back in the shop window...

Get in. If this is his last game here, at least he leaves on a high note.

One more against Spurs would ease some of the bad blood there’s been recently
