Was one of the weirdest goals for me. When he was though I just stood there with my arms in the air knowing he was going to score. Didn't even celebrate just took it all in.

So he was at a restaurant today at the same time as pretty much the entire Chelsea squad.

Edit: it looks like Chelsea were actually there last not today!

It was a fittingly classic Mahrez goal, it's true. The dummy then cut back is what we've seen him do a number of times. So often in fact that I no longer even know if it qualifies as genius. He makes it look so easy.

Might seem ridiculous but have been told from a pretty decent source that Riyad is quite happy at the moment. That's not to say his head can't be turned again. Wouldn't say it's as inevitable as many think..

lol

Wouldn't that be typical?

Out of a sudden, the amount of potential suitors has decreased quite a bit. First Roma, then Manchester City.

Maybe he's realized he's not that sought after anymore and that his antics have given him and his entourage a bad rep.

If he wants to stay, fine. Just needs to redouble his training and match efforts.

He was eager to score at the KP because it was very likely his last game. Not an excuse but I kinda see where he was coming from.

It does say a lot about him and/or the player/person he has become - for whatever reason. He wanted to make a statement, make the headlines about him, be the subject of the story. Maybe it's understandable, maybe it's not but I feel he arguably put himself ahead of the team  - but then maybe he's earned the right to do that.

I dunno, people have been throwing the word "ever" around (not you necessarily BTW zeguy, I don't keep score) - I can't be that objective. I know he's certainly been, in his way, amongst the most talented players with the ball at his feet that I've seen (in any team) but whether that amounts to our best player 'ever' , I simply can't say. My own opinion is, without disrespect to his immense and undeniable talent, is not. For me, he never has been nor ever is likely to be a 'complete' enough player - whatever that means. Huge, huge contributions for sure, and ones that we've all been thrilled by and benefited from, but I've too often felt it's a talent he too has relied upon, as if he feels that's all he needs to do.

I really do wish him all the best (as it does seem taken for granted that he's off) and I really do hope he gets the move of his dreams, but I do honestly believe he's going to have to work to make a success of such a move. His talent alone will not be enough.

Guys have a look at some of the you tube  vids I know its highlights but some of the stuff is just mental. The speed of thought for me is the stand out thing.Just ridiculous.

The mans a one off and I watched Weller and Wortho and enjoyed their contribution.Riyah is a one on his own and well done LCFC for spotting and giving him a stage.

Whatever happens thankyou and best wishes for you and your family. And Knocky !

He needs to either leave this summer or sign a new four year contract with a release clause.

....I am sure he is gone already. Probably the reason why he is so happy at the moment. He needs to go, enough is enough!!!!

:wes:people would rather risk relegation and say goodbye to one of the most talented players to ever wear the shirt. With our recent transfer history? LOLZ.

He needs to go ASAP. he has been wanting this for a long time, sitting at Airports ready to fly out at a moments notice. Not turning up for training after a sale falls through, He is desperate to go and when he doesn't get what he wants, he throws a tantrum.

Get Rid Sell him to a club abroad. The sooner the better.

I agree. He wants a big-money move. Sell him for 150 million to China Super league.

To all other Posters who think the same....

Every player who shows or proves hes a cut (even a c*nt)  above the the rest, shows that drive and

will,to follow a bigger dream, its actually thee major reason top Clubs get in the  'the' top players.

Or the internal youth top players stay (Manutd).

Lets have a look at the obvious ones, who put in request...to get where they are..

Costa,Messi,Ronaldo,Henri ,Ronaldinho,Moderic,Zatlan,Kanti ,Lewandowski...in fact RM,Barcelona,B.München,

Man.city,Chelsea etc etc are strewn with them...

Some of we older guys, came across probably the English 1st ever arrogant sob with souly mercenary

thoughts, and Fulham and Leicester Fans may Carry a sneer when his Name is  mentioned..

Allan Clarke, now he was really a great dass  for the prosecution.

Then we see the slightly opposites...Weller,Vardy,Worthington,Izzet,etc etc by other "Also-rans"clubs

What is the expected Formular for how a ambitious top players should react.?? !!

I must admit there are in some Cases tactics that leave a Bad taste in the mouth, but Mahrez's

first utterings were upfront and Direct.  Then when he got the strops,we discover somebody

or a group within 'our' club management, went against their word and promise.

I didnt like how it developed,I didnt agree with his stance he decided to take, but I surely understood

them..except the Airport and off the radar pettulance,but...it must be said there were waves,

that it was the club itself who innitiated go missing issue.!!

What I find worse and few Fans, bring it up as a bug-bear,is the total lack of effort and professional

attitude, the players and many games showed it tended to be 90%+ of the squad, who despite Fans

Paying good money, home and away showed total ignorance, petulance and lack of respect to the gameday

on/in over 60% of our games, under Late 2nd season under Ranieri, and now Puel....

And yes Mahrez included...now that has made me angry.

But no.... A player who who was expected to move  put in at 1st a regulär  transfer request, and

Honesty up Front from the club was denied him.

Some know-all Fans shown their childish acceptance of football everyday facts, and out of context and

out of Frustration, get on his case. But aint got the balls to discredit the players, not Puels lack

of matchday effort....

POVs are great banter....innit. !!

Have a gut feeling he will be off to Chelsea. Seen him a number of times recently in Baboo restaurant in Mayfair with a few of their players...

He remains very friendly with NG and he lives in London.  He has become pally with other chelski players through NG. I don’t think it means anything although I always thought it was his most likely destination.

Let's be realistic. The only way we will see Mahrez play again in Leicester blue at the King Power is if he 'does a Drinkwater' and ends up unused and unloved at the 'big club' he will inevitably join this summer.
