Cecchini1976 Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 (edited) I don’t post very often on the forum but had a thought that if it was possible to arrange that after the minute silence and before kick off that the fans all sing You’ll Never Walk Alone, have it playing on the PA system and a bit like Liverpool have all the fans singing it. I think it would be a fitting tribute to all the victims, and also show our love for Top, his family, the players and all LCFC staff that we stand strong and together. Do you reckon this is A) a good idea & B) possible? and if this should be in another thread or has already been mentioned then I apologise Edited 31 October 2018 by Cecchini1976
Ashley Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 It is a good idea and one i agree with however i believe our fans are trying to get WYS going more. 3
Popular Post HybridFox Posted 31 October 2018 Popular Post Posted 31 October 2018 Appreciate the idea but would rather have our own song to be honest 14
FilbertFrog Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Couldn’t sing that song it’s a celtic/Liverpool song but the sentiments are very nice
Cecchini1976 Posted 31 October 2018 Author Posted 31 October 2018 (edited) Fully understand singing one of our own songs, just thought this would be very fitting. Was just a thought. I was standing in the line waiting to write my message in the book of condolence and i could visualise the whole stadium singing it and how emotional it would be. Beechey Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 (edited) Are they planning to sing the full version of WYS? I'd genuinely love it if we could have the full version be our YNWA at the start of games. Edited 31 October 2018 by Beechey 1

Monsell1976 Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Like others have said nice idea, but when your smiling is our song. But do it loud but slow, and make sure everyone knows the words, and quite apt for Vichai and he did seem a happy chappy.
Ian Nacho Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Nice idea but no chance I'm singing that. When you're smiling maybe. 1
tylesta Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 wys all the way. khun always had a smile on his face ?
Nickfosse Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 If the tragic death of Vichai gets us singing “when you’re smiling” in vast unison and at a proper pace regularly in tribute, it will be yet another beautiful gift and legacy to us all. 3

But our manners and civility are still holding so praise be to that.
Cecchini1976 Posted 31 October 2018 Author Posted 31 October 2018 (edited) When your smiling was my favourite song as a kid in the kop, but I hope the words are put on the seats of the fans as I am not sure all the fans know the words. i know YNWA is not our song but back in the day the kop did sing it most games. But that’s just me showing my age ?? Edited 31 October 2018 by Cecchini1976

smr Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Wys is our song. About a year ago i was watching a youtube video of us winning thr league and it was on that. I'd had a feq whiskeys but it made me cry. Something just magical about that song really pulls on the heartstrings. 1

I love WYS and it has always anoyed me over the past 5 or 6 years that it seems to have disappeared from the song book, hopefully this will bring it back.
Cecchini1976 Posted 31 October 2018 Author Posted 31 October 2018 Anyway didn’t mean to offend anyone with the idea, just thought it would have been very emotional. Again I love WYS and it is a Leicester song and it’s a shame it never really gets sung anymore, so hopefully this will bring it back to the song book 1
smr Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Yeah dont know why its not sang much / at all anymore. The lyrics are really positive and its supposed to be uplifting but it always either makes me well up or shed a tear. No idea why! 1
smr Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Its not offensive at all mate. To me though thats liverpools song. Thats all. Nice to think of what to do anyway. 1

The clapper will definitely have vichai's picture on it I would think 2

Russell sprout Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 I’m not trying to be funny in saying this and am as gutted as everyone else with recent events so please don’t shoot me down for saying this but will we be changing our goal music, as I feel it’s completely inappropriate under recent events,it’s something that I never even gave thought to it was my 11 year old daughter who brought it to my attention 1
shailen Posted 31 October 2018 Posted 31 October 2018 Not sure if it could happen but I think it would be fitting if Bocelli could sing time to say goodbye
