Silva - 20 years old Mbappe - 17 years old Lemar - 21 years old Mendy - 22 years old Fabinho - 21 years old To achieve the success that he achieved (CL semi-finals) with a side that young is very impressive. Given we have a lot of young players with high potential, it makes sense to get a manager in that has a track record of getting the best out of youth.
coolhandfox Posted 17 December 2018 Posted 17 December 2018 Seems a good fit, however is he interested, now that's the question

Its not like these players left and have gotten worse, they clearly are an unreal group of talented youngsters and what worries me is that he may have just been in the right place at the right time. He didnt find the best players, the majority were already there. He obviously had them playing well together but could it of just been luck? With a good DOF perhaps he would be an excellent coach for the side but we dont have one of those. *just to note- I dont know much about his career so im hoping people who know more can quash these thoughts, I just dont plan on judging him based on that particular Monaco year.

Finnegan Posted 18 December 2018 Posted 18 December 2018 Wait hold on a minute. Was it Jardim that bought Ghezzal at Monaco?

moseeds Posted 20 December 2018 Posted 20 December 2018 Jardim's tactics aren't a million miles away from Puel's which is fascinating and may explain why Monaco struggled once key players left. Raises a lot of questions about Jardim's ability to adapt considering his temprement...
